If you don't care about graphics and/or have a low-end PC or just like the visual style of the original more, then you can skip it.I got the remaster, played it for about 10 hours, the nature and environments look fucking beautiful, but the characters are a bit odd. Went back to OG oblivion afterwards. Oh yeah, and the mods aren't compatible, you can't have OG oblivion mods in a remastered version.

The only two things it does better than original are overworld so you dont need to use Everything Visible When Distant mod (or any LOD mod for that matter), and improved (debatable) leveling system so you dont need to pay attention to leveling your attributes. Aside from those two improvements, everything else is a massive degrade.TLDR: Its not good. Get it only if its free.
