Cloud saves and modding support do not benefit developers.
Multiplayer infrastructure should be handled by the devs themselves. It's expensive, but more reliable for them and they have more control.
I don't know what other "features" you're talking about.

once again pirates prove to be the best archivists by virtue of them actually giving a shit.
>>
As long as there's no DRM so i can pirate easily who cares?
>>
>>729363642
Pretty much.

That GOG charges 30% is so funny. KEK LMAO

GOG versions are always the shittiest to pirate because of their prehistoric installers, and they're often behind the Steam version. The only silver lining is you can double check the checksum to ensure there's no malware in the files but if you know how to pirate you won't get malware anyway.

I hate this piece of shit store, because Myabandonware has to remove games they get their filthy hands on.

You can just choose to install all DLC easily with Galaxy if you don't like doing it manually.
Being able to do it manually is a great option to have though.
>>
>>729364740
But Galaxy sucks and defeats the only value proposition GOG has to offer.
>>
>>729365050
No it doesn't. Galaxy is useful and convenient but not obligatory. And it not being convenient makes a huge difference.
But even beyond that, the DRM free / offline releases and control over what version of the games you wish to play, is also worth a ton.

I benefit from all the advantages of GOG with or without Galaxy. And then I choose to use Galaxy ontop of that for the convenience. While retaining the privilege of not having to.

just use gog-games.to when that happens
>>
OH SO COMPLICATED WAAAAHH
buy a console, subhuman

>>729363320
Okay

People like Steam because it's convenient. Retard. GOG is not. LOL NOOB get owned.
>>
>here, we took these games and tweaked then so they run much better on modern OSes in high resolution
>also there's much better controller support
>also we integrated a fanpatch that fixes bugs and also makes the game more compatible with modern systems alongside some QOL features
>we give it to you for a cheap price and without any DRM's or always online bullshit, everything works perfectly out of the box and everything
>we also openly support SKG and long-term preservation of video games
I have no idea what kind of shitskin underage you have to be to have a problem with GoG.

This lol. Old games on GoG are dirt cheap, how brown can someone be?
>>
>>729363320
just get exodos

This also annoys me
>No, we won't tell you how to do that. This abandonware deserves full pricing and then configure it yourself retard.
This is a skill issue
>modern games? Here's fifty clunky installers, one for each DLC, you have to run in order, manually. Remember to redownload and run them for each update too.
for f in *.exe innoextract "$f"
Skill issue. Or windows issue.
>no cloud saves
Good, that's not their job.
>no modding support
Modding support is game-specific and has nothing to do with the publisher.
>no multiplayer infrastructure, no features for developers
False, galaxy exists and provides multiplayer infrastructure. It's just that nobody on GOG wants platform bindings.
>30%
Oh, you're an epic shill. Imagine complaining about an industry standard.
>don't forget to tip + subscribe to our patreon to be a trve gaming preserver, the Polish government doesn't give enough gibs anymore
Yeah the patreon thing is scummy.
