Should I play all the games before I get RE9?I am currently at RE4 and it will take me sometime to go through them + with the remakes. I am a bit tired of getting games years after release and miss out on all the hype, playing together, memes, lore while I am ten games behind.

The shitposts and OCs come from the entire series, you basically have to be balls deep into RE to fully partake in it and be aware of spinoffs and movies, just playing one or two games won't make you in on the joke.
