i like playing games in really low resolutions. anybody else in the same boat? i like the chunky look, and the way it forces your brain to fill in details. doesnt hurt that it lets me play newer games on my aging 2060 laptop gpu. ui suffers of course but i mostly play shooters anyway where all you need is a cursor and a couple numbers for health and armor
I have terrible vision so I'm already playing real life at low resolution
>>729368463yeah but your vision doesnt use nearest neighbor scaling so its not as based as it could be
>>729368379If you lower the resolution below intended by developer you receive distorted image. It is indeed one of the ways of making your imagination to work, but it is like reading a book, where you ctrl-h all vowels into empty spaces - an experience rather unique and interesting in its own way, but rarely a better one. On the other hand - who knows, maybe you play exclusive AAA latest cinematic propaganda, 320x240 would do it as good as much this word can only be applied, certainly would improve faces.
>>729368769distorted image, yes, sure and not what the dev intended, but dev intention is not such a strong attraction when it comes to games, as devs are typically driven by financial motivation.
