>not only added a character with a unique moveset but adds one with several completely unique mechanics entirely through modding
What characters would /v/ like to see in DBFZ with this in consideration?
>>
>>729370183
I'd rather see the kind of love & care which seemingly went into this mod go towards a good game like Blazblue, not DBFZ.
>>

At what point does a mod stop being a mod and is just free DLC
>>
>>729370579
Because it's not usable against people who don't have it so you can never actually play it outside of your locale.
>>
>>729370498
It's called MUGEN
>>
>>729370651
That's what the age old MUGEN technique of having a pre-selected mod pack/MUGEN "game" is for, too bad there's only Dio and Yugi so far though
Would be cool he made Kenshiro drawing from some of his PS2 kusoge moveset

Does Blazblue even have enough of a userbase to really push the envelope on modding? There's also a huge issue in needing to make sprite art for fucking everything. I reckon doing 3D animation is less of a chore if you know what you're doing already.
>>
>>729370989
You know full goddamn well Blazblue does not have the base for something like that to occur
>>
>>729371293
Yeah that's kind of what I meant. There's some cool mods for BB but you need some wizard to crack a game open for modding (or the devs themselves) before it can really go anywhere.
>>
>>729370183
cool!!!
>play for 5 minutes
>never touch again
what exactly is the point of modding fighting games when you cant even play with anyone
>>
>>729370989
Under night still birth II actually does have an modding import tool but no one uses it
>>
>>729371675
Well at least for costume mods you can look at your own character even if your opponent can't see it.
>>
>>729370498
LMAOOOOOOOOO
>>
>>729371675
You can play with your friends if they download the mod as well.
>>
>>729371675
play with your friends, play on a discord where everyone downloads the mod or something
>>
>>729370498
>TranzBlue
KEKAROO
>>
>>729371675
It's funny that so many folks on /v/ want to like fighting games but get filtered by them because they have no friends to play with

>fr***nd
get out fakecel
>>
>>729370183
All this does is make me want a whole fucking YGO fighting game with a bunch of different decks. Swap out different 'Ace' monsters for alternate movesets on different decks and you're set.
It'd be fun to see them attempt different systems like Synchro Summons in real time.

For good mods to go towards a game it needs to have a modding scene, aside from fringe cases games aren't gonna get really good mods out of nowhere, they usually have to have a thriving scene of people putting shitty mods into the game.

This isn't really a statement of game quality but of quality increasing with popularity because the mod maker knows there's more demand for cool mods.
