I played this on Gameboy but it was just too hard for me.

>>729371446Replayee is actually pretty good and solves a lot of the issues of the first game. It's still not the best platformer ever but it's crossed the line into being respectable. The worlds still don't largely have strong enough theming, with the casino level being an exception. If more levels had the personality that the casino one did then the remaster would go from being a 7/10 to an 8.5/10.But the original? Fuck no, and I enjoyed it more than a reasonable person could have. Way too much empty space in levels, and the unlocking gimmick(while fun in concept) means playing through a ridiculously empty world until you unlock the upgraded level, which is also still too empty but not as much so.

I prefer the bonuses and hidden states in DKC1, which were added after the levels were built. The same goes for the animal levels

I didn't like GoldenEye 007 or Perfect Dark, I thought they were trash even back then. Star Fox Adventures is another garbage game that, for whatever reason, is beloved by a very dedicated fanbase.
