I don't understand when people complain about old games being "hard to run" on Steam. I'm no retro game addict but I've played a fair bit of old games on Steam and setting them up is really easy. All you need to do is follow the most popular guide and drag and drop a couple of files and that's it. Now I'm sure if you play some super obscure game from 2001 that only 5 people bought, it may be harder to get running due to the game being obscure but the most famous games all have very accessible and easy to follow guides on how to get them running. Are they just stupid?
Most people are surprisingly technologically inept.
>>729373425Well, you're the one posting the reddit frog.
>>729373581Are you stupid?
>>729373425they aren't referring to your popularslop
>>729373670Uhm, 99% of the time they are.The ones who play obscure old games usually know how to get them running and don't complain.
i remember when you had to download a opengl (or d3d, can't remember) wrapper for glide or some shit to play diablo 2 on windows xp. might sound basic but it felt like voodoo (no pun intended) to the uninitiated
>>729373720so what is the point of this thread if you already know the answer
>>729373763You don't seem to be very smart.
>>729373809you must be a genius because you got a popular game to work on steam
>>729373856Yeah you're stupid. I wish people like you were executed en masse.
Most people on 4chan are liars and don't play games. They're phoneposting from a sweltering tin shack on the side of a mountain in Brazil, and hate the fact that people in the first world can enjoy themselves. That means all modern games are bad, and the few old ones worth playing are impossible to run without dealing with some uncslop like "files."
>>729373425A lot of people shit their pants if you open file explorer
>>729375803>>729375181How is this possible? If you can install Steam on your PC, surely you can at leat navigate a file explorer and move some files around.
>>729376160Those that actually have PCs are generally retarded (which is why they scream about the context menu in Windows 11 instead of just adding the one registry key that shows up in a Google search), and the rest don't own PCs and just tell themselves they have a better experience watching DF videos on their phones instead of actually playing games.
