The story will never allow your choice to actually affect the main plot if you pick a teammate (like the others getting jealous or that your chosen girl will appear in a special cutscene variation), so you might as well pick one of the modest side characters and let your imagination fill the gaps. Yumi is the kind of character who reminds you that there's a "real life" outside of all the TV world shit you have to struggle through, while one of the main girls will only really fall for you because it feels obligatory.
