For those not in the known, Comiket changed their ticketing system so you can only buy tickets ONE MONTH beforehand. For any Japanese this is huge since it takes place during one of their major holidays. All train tickets will be sold pretty much the moment they come available (one month prior, just like these tickets) so attending Comiket this year is a huge risk: if you manage to get Comiket tickets but train tickets are sold out, you're shit out of luck and just wasted tons of money, and same if the situation would be another way around. Why take monetary risks and go through the hassle when you can just spend the Obon-holiday doing Obon-holiday-stuff instead? The arrangers were retards and its fully on them.

Are there any alternatives to comiket? I feel like comiket has become the comic con of japan where everyone knows about it but the people who actually go to cons know it's shit.
