>>729384759The centaur boss is designed to explicitly punish you for playing it like another metroidvania. You can't avoid attacks through i-frames or good spacing, you have to learn to parry. Its hitboxes are also so large that sometimes the facing angle gets hard to predict. When I replayed the game I beat multiple 'more difficult' bosses first try but still died to the centaur a half-dozen times because it's a very intentional wall.
