I can't imagine a nightmare worse than replaying the same game over and over again thousands of times, just to get on some irrelevant leaderboard. You gotta be on the spectrum to do this to yourself. They don't even like the games they play. Also, why is it full of troons? What’s the correlation?Do not confuse trying to get good at a game and beat it efficiently with actual speedrunning autism.
>>729380987It is the distillment of autism into an external thing, which is anti-autism. Its a weird thing.
>>729380987yes, but it's also the domain of some of the highest skilled gamers doing precise inputs and improvising based on incredibly technical knowledge of how the games work
Old school speedrunning was just players who git gud at a game. Modern speedrunning is plagued with muh rules autism.
>>729380987casual
>>729380987>Is speedrunning full on autistic?yeah. anything highly repetitive is. speedrunning, mmos, fighting games, racing games, farming sims, factory games. all of that shit.
It's not really any different than time trials in a racing game, or per stage scoring (including time) in any game like Doom or Quake or any action game like DMC. Just applied to the whole game. Obviously most people don't give too much of a shit about that, they might see their score and try to do better a couple times especially if they have an achievement or something to bait them, but they're not going to go "Hmm, how far can you REALLY take this?"Speedrunning used to be for people that did the latter. Guys who had to know, who pushed the envelope and developed strategies, who also put the controller down and studied the game and considered how to do it as best they could. Then it got popular and a lot of people wanted to join in, but they didn't have that kind of passion. To them it was just playing video games with likeminded people, but they weren't the same as the guys who started doing it. Don't get me wrong, there are still super autismos who try to optimize their specific game or find out new glitches or whatever. Those people will always exist. There's just not that many of them.
>>729380987>I can't imagine other people enjoying something I dontyeah that's a leading symptom of autism you retarded faggot
>>729380987Mini speed running is slightly autistic, think spending a few extra hours trying to get better times in shit like velvet swing, seum, lovely planet and games like that. Same goes for trying to get a decent time in something like Minecraft to compare it to friendsLong term dedicated speed running like playing hl2 for 5 years is extreme autism>Also, why is it full of troons? What’s the correlation?Mental illness, bring terminally online and trannies go hand in hand
>>729380987>Is speedrunning full on autistic?>spend months so you can finish the game in 10 minutesYes.
>>729382269>seething speedtranny>reddit spacingkek
>>729382251>It's not really any different than time trials in a racing gameYes it is.
>>729380987You have to replay the same game 10000+ times to even consider attempting to be the best. If you're doing another hobby, you have to practice something a huge amount of times too, but there's always variance. The only variance in speedrunning is "I pressed the button 0.2 s early so I cannot get world record" or "this enemy has 33% chance to be where I need it to be otherwise the run is dead" which is fine, but really autistic if you think about it. I still watch a speedrun or a breakdown "documentary" analysis from time to time, even of games I don't play, and I find it cool, but we should be honest about it.
>>729383180This applies to everything if you're looking to be the best. Most speedrunners aren't concerned with records, just personal improvement
>>729380987yeah
really makes you think
Yeshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b56N17d4WnM
>>729380987getting good at anything is autistic, you (average person) are supposed to wallow in mediocrity and then die quietly
>>729382251It's completely different. You dont understand racing.
>>729386436he's talking about lapping, not racing
>>729382018well we used to play say arcade games master them show off a bit then move on, these troonies never move on cause they are scared of being dogshit at something. i think playing a game, then speedrunning it a couple times to get a good run is rather based. But speedrunning to beat that by 1 gigasecond is cringe if you by happenstance beat it in a reasonable amount of times then sure man good for you
>>729380987yes, only retarded trannies would waste their life replaying the same shit over and over
>>729382018pretty much spot on. old school trying to beat each other via skills. now they all find the most retarded glitch that requires .00001% rng to beat the record which takes thousands of retries to get. they have the time so it's no problem. i know first hand because i got a record through pure time devotion. i was so bad at the game i didn't know how to beat it if it wasn't the "speedrun route"
>>729385965imagine if everyone was honest about their autism, the internet would be so much better to browse
>>729380987>Is speedrunning full on autistic?>Is the pope a catholic?
Why are there no female speedrunners?
>>729389697there's plenty (yes real ones) but like gaming in general they suck so you don't see them at a high level
sheeeitt
>>729389697women are less prone to autism since they have to raise children
death to troons
>>729394786
>>729394981kek
>>729395931Best bit is that isn't a shoop.
It is so..

>>729380987Worse than just autism, it's miserable and displays disdain for gaming as a medium
>>729399635>it's miserable and displays disdain for gaming as a mediumI agree with that assessment of speedrunning. OP asked the correlation between troons and speedrunning, and the answer is obvious: Both groups desperately want to be unique. If you can finish a game the fastest, you're the best right? That's how they see themselves. Other people just think they wasted their time. To be truly special, you have to compete against other humans. That's why esports has the highest pay, and not something like speedrunning. Speedrunning is man vs nothing.

>>729380987
>>729380987yes, why do you think so many of them are troons
>>729380987Its based, personally I was never into speedrunning even though ive experimented with other kinds of self imposed challenges and communities revolving around them, but they definitely like and care about games more than the average goyslopper who buys trash to "experience" it once and then move on to next products
