I'm sure teenagers still like cars almost everywhere. Just because X thing isn't that common in popular culture anymore doesn't mean that there aren't people interested.
It's more about cashing on trend. Like people saying skating isn't popular, because it's not huge thing to feature in video games or tv anymore. While actual skateboard parks are still full of kids
