I've heard that many quests in the game lack proper guidance, and there's a lot of hidden content.Should I watch walkthrough videos first to avoid missing anything?
>>729384287The exploration is part of the intended experience. It won't feel as fun if you get spoiled. The game is perfectly beatable otherwise, even if some side content is hard to find.
>>729384287play it while looking up each character quest and don't ruin yourself the joy of the game because you bricked yourself into making it extreme hard
>>729384287>walkthrough videosWatch as much as you can.I also recommend watching 4 hour long critique videos before playing Dark Souls so you understand the game mechanics and the hidden allegories of sexual abuse suffered by Mr. Miyazaki
>>729385058>the hidden allegories of sexual abuse suffered by Mr. MiyazakiWhat?
don't watch anything, go into it blind and snape kills dumbledore.the quests are insubstantial and shitty anyway. don't bother with that tedium.
>>729384287I think you should. To me, most of the fun is in the execution of the theory you can grasp through guide and lore videos. Anon above says exploration is part of the fun, but it's only a small part, you get more pleasure in your mind, it's somewhat of theoritcal introspective almost psychedelic experience to play this franchise. In my opinion you get the best experience planning your runs ahead then executing them more or less easily depending on your skill. Because it almost never goes as planned, it's a hard game. And you almost never want to really follow guidelines exactly, that's the roleplaying part.
>>729384287play it blindly in your first run and beat it, regardless if you miss many secrets and queststhen use a guide to search for things you missed when you start new game+, it's better this way since it won't ruin your first experience with the game

>>729384287what a weak bitch you are holy shit
>>729384287NahThe 2 biggest character quests are extremely obtuse to get the 'good' ending, and there is an alternative main quest I guess though it doesnt change much and doesnt affect your choices at the end anyways, just leave that for your 2nd playthrough or ng+.The only thing I guess could help to not waste time is a list of illusory walls, but I'd just write down the number so you can be sure you got them all instead of the exact location.
