This is both true and false. Zoomers will probably never touch a masterpiece like Might and Magic 6 but they'll endlessly praise JRPG garbage like E33 or some other modern anime weeb trash. Anytime they do the "dude old games lol" it's usually over a game that just got a remaster because "the original is too hard to play" and they love being slaves to NightScam. These people are posers. That's it.

I loved 2010

Much more culturally relevant titles

I am sick of this retarded, completely arbitrary generation warfare that fundamentally achieves nothing but baseless seething and shitflinging over things that are personal anecdotes

Gen X are the most obnoxious fucks as usual, nothing but star wars drones.

This is a bit unfair since americans are scarred from 9/11

No, the current scene is just dogshit and zoomers aren't uniquely retarded where they'll like the slop that's got produced by uninspired faceless corporations after 2010.

Most zoomers don't know what that is. I've seen most of the best stuff called unc slop while completely oblivious to how ass some of these games really were. Secret of mana is a great example of a game that gets felated despite being shit but trials, sword, and FFA where completely ignored. Even children of mana is better than secret.

So it goes with a lot of these games. Most people who played ffi probably know only the fucking remakes with mp and easy difficulty. A lot of the best games came out very late in the libraries life of most consoles.

As a member of Generation Z, I grew up with a lot of handmedowns and outdated consoles because being house popr thanks to 2008 made it way more feasible for my parents to get PS1/PS2 games and rent older cartoons than to pay $599 for a PS3 or the monthly bill for cable TV.

I played Crash 3 a lot.

This is the same guy, it's just the incel haircut and the stache that makes him look weird, also the camera angle is not the best in that video.

Fortnite wouldn't be relevant if it didn't have Gen X and Millennial collabs.
>>
>>729386317
Minecraft and LoL were popularized by millennials.

Speak for yourself. My zoomer nephew and his friends like old games too. He's put more hours into Silent Storm and Stalker than I have.
>>
>>729389062
It's not just zoomers. I handed my Switch to my 8yo nephew and of all fucking things, we ended up playing some fuckoff NES football game for an hour.

She actually said it all, he's a "nerd", he plays the fake vidyagaem guitar, meanwhile she's only interested in the chad who can do the same with a real guitar.
The guitarfag is more attractive to her because she's into the alt-art and hippie shit, meanwhile nerds are into computers and difficult things that are boring.
The best part will be when she gets a guitarfag boyfriend, he's never earn a single cent in his whole life and he's leeching off her bank account, but at least she's not dating the six figures a year computer nerd, and then the guitarfag will get drunk and on several drugs as always, beat the shit out of her and she'll wonder why all men are so despicable and bad.

Wouldn't date him, but he's not ugly in either of the pics, pretty sure there would be lots of women into him.

It's the intersection of passion and quality/mass production. Arcades boomed in the late 70s as videogames became a huge fad for a while, died off in the early 80s as the fad wore off, resurrected in the latter half of the 80s when Nintendo brought them back and became an integral part of pop culture during the entirety of the 90s. The 2000s is when you started seeing the corporatism start to take over and by the 2010s the majority of videogames were soulless vehicles for extracting money from consumers.
>>
>>729387763
Still not doing him any favors here.
>>
There was a lot of progress quick in the 90s. We went from Donkey Kong Country to 3D shit. And your favorite series released a lot of stuff. Now if you're a Mega Man fan, you get 1 game a decade. Back then You got Mega Man 5, 6, VII, Multiple X games, Legends. So it made for a hot interesting time. Sony came in and shook things up.
>>
>>729391385
>none of these have anything to do with the actual game
Curious.
>>
>>729392263
It also allowed for creative ways to play it (as shown in the webm) which made it fun and endlessly replayable

I was just talking about that era of cRPGs, generally
