it stopped being about the vault hunters, finding the vault and getting lootit's now about the special snowflake self insert npcs, listening to their gay fanfictions if you want to progress quests and not innovating the gunplay or gun customization in over a decade

Remake BL1 with BL3 graphics, and leave it all as it was except the gunplay (and make the NPCs move)

I liked the sense of hopelessness and desperation of BL1 Pandora. The place is so fucked that it goes insane. And then on top of it there's a golden rush of Vault hunting, which attracts all sorts of adventurers.
Also I liked how BL1 writing wasn't childish or Hollywood-like. It had teeth, there were no good guys, there were guys you could make a deal with and guys you could not. And even the former were scum of the earth, who were only honest with you as long as it was profitable to them.

It took them until 3 with the Carnivora segment to do what 1 was supposed to do with Thor: have the big mining machine drive around and the player has to chase it damage it, and board it. In that picture, Brick was probably originally supposed to actually be able pick up and use melee weapons like that instead of just punching.You've got one game that is a barebones shell of what it was supposed to be, then a sequence of increasingly polished sequels that make the first game feel like it hardly connects to the rest, and a bad rep for being obnoxiously "silly" despite the series pivoting back to being more serious in the two most recent mainline games.

They've lost the sense of what a vault hunter was: an adventurer/bounty hunter who didn't gave a fuck about morals and just did stuff to get to the vault and steal loot.Now "vault hunter" means a forced hero, forced good guy and forcing them to join the shitty crimsom raiders under the command of those useless women
borderlands 4 (besides the performance problems) is actually a good game and i would even compare it to 1, no one likes to say it but since borderlands 3 the weapons feel so good to shoot4

This game's okay but I found that I had to force myself to finish most of them.
