Why is the protagonists weapon always canonically a handgun?
>>729397029because it's the grittiest street thug vibe type of gun. also blade runner.
>>729397029Because it allows for more poses and gives a clearer view of the protagonist than a long gun.
>>729397029is default male v our guy?
>>729397029it's cool and small enough so it doesn't cover the protagonist in the cover art
>>729397301Looks like a MAGA dipshit to me
>>729397378not fat and inbred enough he looks more like a mid 20s euro hoodlum
>>729397029Clears a second hand for aura farming/cqc/holding a babe
>>729397029Walking around with a longgun looks stupid
>>729397301Default V is a streetkid, not 6th street trash
>>729397029Because the revolver gun you get as part of the dead kid side quest is literally the best gun in the game. Best accuracy, enough dmg to 1-shot every trash mob in the game, cheap ammo. It's a better sniper than the actual aniper guns and a better dmg dealer than shotguns and smgs.
>>729397301I look like him and i kiss boys.
>>729397301>finish the game>start talking in a boston accent like V despite being from the west coastwhy do i do this
>>729397029Same reason why le medieval fantasy's protagonist weapon is always a sword and not an actual weapon for killing people like halberd or poleaxe. It can be carried around everywhere and pompously posed with. However, you don't really want it when going into an actual combat (aside from it being emergency backup weapon), you want an assault rifle or a poleaxe respectively. And yet somehow, latter is not as "heroic".
>>729397029I went with a nomad running Machine gun and shotgun. Great stuff using shotgun with explosive shells.
>>729398017>muh poleaxeLiteral meme weapon
