>kills entire crew
why did he do it?
>>
Pretty sure that's explained within this pseduslop of a game
>>
>>729400275
wasn't this the guy that the remaining members of the crew started a mutiny against?
>NOOOO DON'T DEFEND YOURSELF
kys trannie
>>
>Royals bring magic item on board.
>Second in command tries to steal it.
>Fails.
>Wrong person is executed after being blamed.
>He manages to steal it on second try.
>Magic item is unsealed.
>Seaniggas kill thiefs.
>Artifact is returned to ship.
>Ship is repeatedly attacked by seaniggas and sea monsters.
>Captain tortures seanigga to get them to fuck off.
>Captain returns to topside.
>Captain decides to keep magic thing in his possesion.
>Last of the crew try to steal it.
>He kills them all.
>Kills himself because his wife is dead or something.

How was he at fault? At all? Why does his estate get punished?
>>
There will never be another game this perfect ever again
>>

I'm pretty sure he didn't kill them all. I bet he wanted to though, how useless they were. Imagine getting killed by a mermaid or a crab.

Suicide is for cowards
>>
>Does everything wrong
Why did he do it?
>>
>>729400903
You're literally only there to settle accounts for the East Indian Company.

>How was he at fault? At all?
It's really not, he made the wrong call executing that guy but he had no way of knowing and the rest of his crew betrayed him.
He's not the only one either, nearly everyone who killed somebody else was punished even if it was clearly self-defense.
>Why does his estate get punished?
That was the punishment for suicide back then.
>>
Why was 2018-2019 filled with great original puzzles games and why haven’t there been any good ones since then?
>>
>>729400639
you can put in the journal that he killed every crew member and the game accepts it. You even get an achievement for it
>>
>>729403208
Well yeah, because it's the truth. The captain did it. This is THE actual explanation.
Time travelling? Krakens? Crab-riding mermaids? Bitch please. It's the joke ending.

Mermaids
>>
>>729400275
Dude definitely did not originally plan on having supernatural elements in this game, you could just tell.

>want to post the electric retard comic where the hostage is killed by the guy who's suppose to save them
>the comic has been wiped off the net
what the fuck
>>
>>729404253
Pope already had the initial idea of going back in time to reconstruct the circumstances of someone's death, but maybe the magic mermaid shit came a bit later as a result of the setting.
>>
it is actually, unironically, not fair how talented Lucas Pope is
