This is great for fighting other earthbenders as it basically allows her to sense their movements and intent before it happens, she listens before they strike. This is however, a very poor strategy when fighting other benders, specifically ones who are light on their feet or can attack with fire or certain airborne projectiles. Also, harming her feet deprives her of the ability to see or bend, as when Zuko burnt them she basically turned into a helpless child. Still, shes seen as a valuable, instrumental member of the team with her own limitations.
