V3 has the best trials and some of the best characters. The plot twist is ok. I don't hate it.

The back-and-forth during Trial 4 alone had more tension and payoff than some entire arcs in 1 and 2. Plus, V3 gave us characters like Kokichi and Korekiyo-absolute chaos gremlins, both of them. Even if the ending left a sour taste for some, the journey getting there was top tier.

I'm just starting these games, and intend to play through them, but the first case left a bad taste in my mouth.There's no period in the investigation of the 1st case where you could guess who the killer is except a singular clue (shattered glass ball), and even then it's a stretch pre trial. It also took way way way too long to get to the first murder.I'll continue having an open mind but so far I do not know why anyone puts this on the level of AA for whodunnit games

I'll give it credit though that play murder case was fucking GOAT. Slightly ruined by the retarded rules of the detective powers and no other characters giving a fuck. Really wish they dropped the whole - "We're cornered, gotta use our magic detective powers to solve this and somehow save ourselves" gimmick.
