there was an interesting interview with Nintendo about this game. apparently the development took so long because most of the Retro Studio staff that had worked on the old Metroid games had left and they had to re-assemble an AAA studio for this game. Nintendo also mentions they realized many gamers had gotten tired of the open world formula but could not change the game that late.

So it was doomed to fail. Shame.
>>

I enjoyed it for 0 dollars but would have been pissed if I dropped 70 on it

lmao
Stupid casual secondaries who asked for open world Metroid are to blame for Sol Valley.
>>
Why are people obsessing over the desert like it takes more than 2 minutes to get from one area to the next

What open world? The game has a central hub, connected to "dungeons" like OOT.
>>
I wish they cancelled it

You have to spend literal hours in the desert grinding for green crystals or else you can't finish the game

because it shouldn't be there

botw is the worst thing to happen to nintendo
>>
>>729406546
lmao at the intense damage control
when was this interview made? after or before release? They knew they had a flop
>>
>>729406648
2 minutes is just the time it takes to wade through loading screens from one dungeon to the next

I'm just glad they confirmed all the bad aspects of the game were due to the Bamco version. So MP5 is probably going to be much better.

Bandai Namco is the worst company in Japan.

Not on the Switch 2 version.

Are they indirectly implying that the next Zelda won't be open-world?

it will be the same map but with a parallel dimension or something
it will be glorious

>a lot of comments on the internet saying 'we want to play an open-world Metroid'
May I see these comments?
>>
>>729409928
I think it will be but with a way smaller map and denser locations

You forgot
>BOTW was our biggest influence

No Anon. It was due to Tanabe.
So you can bet your ass MP5 is going to be as bad.

Other m was good

I just hope they don't let Tanabe anywhere near Metroid 6.
