It's worth keeping in mind that Konami doesn't own the franchise, only the card game, and an anime would require tumultuous amounts of work with both a studio (the current one being the one used for Rush which not a lot of people like) and the actual owners of the IP. Also, the way the animes have been handled showed them as sort of commercials for new mechanics, and as far as we know, there are no signs of a new mechanic coming any time soon, so the chances of a traditional Yu-Gi-Oh anime are slimmer.
