What video game secrets did you find on your own?
When I played Resident Evil 2 for the first time I found Brad because I didn't pick up anything during the opening segment and got confused on my second playthrough when he wasn't there.

The first time I played Wario Land 2, my mom told me to take out the trash right as I started playing and when I came back the game was on a different level. None of my friends believed me and we were even more surprised when I beat my file fastest and we saw the full level map.

I figured out how to tunnel out of bounds in Rygar(NES), and how to use that to either skip parts of the game or enter garbled "minus world" sorts of areas.
