Yeah. Ran out of steam though, will wait till next update to return
>>
>>729421934
It’s at version 0.9, game is at a point it can be considered more or less finished if you ask me but they have a lot more shit planned it seems
>>
>>729421848
Ye
>>729421865
You recolonize a dead world, go into dungeons fight shit, make stronger shit to kill deadlier shit and so on.
It’s not friendslop, everything can be solo’d even content that they say was made for friendsloppers in fact it’s even more fun solo.

this looks like ai
>>
wish the armor was skimpier but it is a really good game
>>
>>729421394
I hate the small stack sizes that aren't even equal to one another. That one issue aside it's a fun game with heavy resource fetch quests requirements (that's not a bad thing if you like grinding)
>>
it looks like it's shaping up good but if i play it now i likely won't play it again when it fully releases because i will have already 'spent' my interest in the game, meaning i will get a worse experience than if i wait for full release.

this goes for basically all early access games. It genuinely feels like self-sabotage to play any of them if they're actually good. I picked up Witchfire on a sale recently and i'm not going to touch it until it's fully out.

>start playing
>decide to build a Hobbit house like structure in the starting area
>it's an absurd undertaking
>work on it for 12 hours but it's incredibly slow and tedious
>burn out and uninstall

Why does every single "open world survival craft" game have absolutely terrible combat gameplay? The genre would be tailor made for me if it just had nice combat, but it never does.

No, it's shit.
>world ain't randomized
>building is useless
>no weather
>combat is easy and all the weapons play similarly
>rare loot is boring because the upgrade system is bad
>no random events
>traversal is boring

It's one of those games I wish I could have refunded but I was blinded by a good first impression. Game is shallow as fuck.

That's a great thing though, are you high?

im tired of survival low effort crap lads

>>729425529
Miss me with that faggot shit. These games are about discovery, settling the land and working with what you have. Why even bother if everything is going to be the same every time?
>>
>>729425605
>These games are about discovery
Having so much fun discovering all the things an algorithm can produce lmao
>>
>>729425529
Some people are too retarded and think procgen games make for good exploration.

What an idiotic man.

i thought you can refund EA games regardless of playtime until it was fully released
did they change it

>Randomly placing human made content
So something that doesn't actually make it have more replayability but does rob the world of meaningfully places content under the guise of it?

Game went from wannabe Dark Souls to wholesome chungus D&D "everyone can be an adventurer" woke crap.
>>
>>729425736
He's probably an AI bro that thinks AI generated stories are good.
>>
>>729425859
In what world is changing the location of resources not adding to replayability? Don't embarrass yourself.

>>729425896
>le AI out of nowhere
Adults are talking, zoomer
>>
>>729425859
No no, see somehow making it so that the faggot ruin can be in either the plains or the forest really makes the game so much better than placing the faggot ruin in a location hand made for it. This is why Starfield is the best exploration game ever, because it takes hand made locations and randomly places them.
>>
>>729425957
Because mildly changing where I encounter the same thing doesn't make it somehow more novel. There's a reason every single game considered the best for actual exploration isn't procgen slop. Ten possible room variations that can be interconnected to make a dungeon isn't ten thousand dungeons, it's ten rooms repeated ten thousand times.
>>
>>729425957
Why would I want to explore a world nobody actually bothered to design?
>>
>>729425497
>world ain't randomized
It’s handcrafted which makes exploration actually fun. Kek never thought I’d see such a bad take here but here we are
>>
It's fun. Big world with a lot of things to explore, though most of the loot you'll get is cosmetic or building or skill points. Fun traversal especially once you get better gliders and the double jump. Played a bunch of it then got burned out though, waiting for it to hit 1.0.

If that were true then Enshrouded would have a higher rating than Valheim, and it doesn't. Nice try but your game is shit no matter how much gay samefag cheerleading you might do.
>>
>>729426304
>If that were true then Enshrouded would have a higher rating than Valheim
Outer Wilds is higher rated than Valheim, so by your logic procgen is inferior.
>>
>>729426293
>Kek never thought I’d see such a bad take here but here we are
It's winter break so a lot of zoomers are here.
>>
>>729426304
>[game1] has a bigger number than [game2] so it's better
really pulling out all the stops here

Seethe and mald
>NOOOO THIS GAME DESIGN IS BETTER
>that's why people don't like it as much

>Too bad that's not true, troon
95% for Outer Wilds vs 94% for Valheim.
>>
>>729426582
96% for Abiotic Factor, which is also a handmade world.
>>
>>729426536
the modern zelda games are some of the highest rated games ever and have the biggest number rating for 2025 so by your own metric that is an argument that intentionally designed worlds are superior.
>>
>>729426640
Skyrim too. Grand theft auto 5 as well.
>>
>>729426409
>no argument
I accept your concession
>>
>>729421394
is it anything like valheim? i fucking hated that game.
>>
>>729426536
So are you trying to be stupid on purpose so the people who like the game look better?

hilarious

Had me worried for a second that someone really had a take that bad and wasn't just trolling, phew.
>>
>>729426753
It does a fair amount of things better, less tedious and the world is handcrafted, but it's in a similar vein.
>>
>>729426870
I accept your concession

>>729426753
It's Valheim but dumbed down
>>
>>729426304
Appeal to popularity. Logical fallacy.
>>
>>729426964
>Valheim but dumbed down
so does that mean every system isnt designed in a way that makes it feel like its purposely wasting your time? because that was my big issue with valheim. solid foundation but jesus christ the whole loop of
>go mine the best ore you can
>haul it back to your base which is a pain in the ass cause of carrying capacity
>sweet you can now make a weapon, maybe 2 if you're lucky
>rinse repeat
was fucking dogshit.
>>
>>729427351
Just the opposite. Every system is designed to be useful, most of the materials you get is directly used for something else, and you can find any resource by scavenging.
You don't need to hunt down X material next up in the resource tree, rather you explore and find cool shit. Even logging and mining can even be optional if you just loot stuff.
You can get yourself a pretty big inventory space, and you can Town Portal to Home or any Tower you captures with all of the stuff you picked up.
Building gimmicky fortresses isn't a necessity because of constant raids; building is for holding your stuff and housing your NPCs and building if you want to.
