I miss the dark and creepy atmosphere of early Smash.
64 has the best gameplay of any Smash game. Everybody is slow but powerful and platforming actually matters mechanically because recoveries are dogshit. You are incentivized to control the center of the stage and swang n' bang until the other person is dead. No gay fullhops like in Ultimate, no obnoxious projectiles or comeback mechanics or gimmick characters, just 50/50s while you swing your big dick of a hitbox. On top of this the items are fair and all the stages and music are great.

The actual game modes are slept on and might get some focus early on, but as the game goes on, people will just ignore them. Remember that Homerun contest wasn't in the game initially, and now no one really talks about Ultimate's version.Shame too, because Smash Run was fucking great and one of the few reasons I kept going with the 3DS version outside the occasional match with bros. Perfect example of a mode that kept you coming back.
