who else thinks that the nightmare areas before the true final boss are rushed and underutilised? don't get me wrong, i like them, but i wish those areas are the ultimate test of your shooting and platforming abilities, instead of running past enemies, turning on three switches to open the boss door six times.also Eldritch Trench (chroma falls nightmare area) is my favorite.

They were only recently added to the game, so my only experience of them is as end-game content, when you already have the best weapons and means to explore nightmare freely.Maybe you'd appreciate the nightmare areas more if you had to struggle through them, and carefully navigate them between the plushie bubbles.I put so much effort into exploring the Forge to find everything in the nightmare there, but now it's apparent I could have waited until the end-game, and done it all easily.
