It’s starting to look really grim…when is it ok for me to lose hope? I don’t know how much longer I can cope.>im trans btw ;)
seriously at what point can legal action be taken against Roberts for fraud?
>>729445939This will either be the game of the century or destroy patreon and other websites, not to mention crowdfunding.
>>729446026When it hits $2bil maybe >don’t forget to keep donating!
>>729446026never. the terms and conditions for crowdfunding are right there in black and white and every donator agrees to them.
>>729445939did they put Lowtax in charge of development or something? This shit boggles the mind.
>>729446194…so all of us are just dumb suckers? I don’t think I can cope…I’ve been very emotional lately since I’m on my period>im trans btw ;)
>>729445939every time i'm like ok lets give it a shot and see how it is now - load in - terrible FPS, network lag hopping everywhere. Same shit every time. Building a giant framework for a game and not optimizing any single part of it. Also the "what's fun to do here?" angle seems completely ignored. I don't even think it's technically a game - more like a tech demo.
>>729446273>just 2 more billion, then it will be ready
>you want a .... refund?
>>729445939It's not actually that high... right? That would give it the budget of GTA. How? Who all is giving them so much money
they've added VR support in the hope that the distraction of a 360 viewpoint in 3D will make your forget there is no gameplay
>>729446194And it's not even hidden in some paragraph in an EULA you just casually click through. Roberts has been perfectly honest what you are funding, and what you are getting for your money.
>>729445939its taken 12 years of development to make TWO planets.now I admire their willingness to make hand crafted worlds but when you have a 1000 planets to make then you need to grasp that procedural generation may be needed herethe lunatics are in charge of the asylum
>>729446608Grim….
>>729446915>procedural generation may be needed hereHave you seen the planets in Star Citizen? They ARE mostly procedurally generated, and look very much so.
>>729446593the cia. they're also taking most of it back out.
>>729446915Ok but hear me out. Imagine playing STAR CITIZEN on MARS in 2070 after moving Elon’s Mars Colony.Pure kino.
Meanwhile Star Sector devs are OK with people pirating the game through Sseth's key
>>729446915They are developing new tech, that's where dev time is sinking in.
Chris should hire Hello Games to come in and save this clusterfuck
What space game am I supposed to play, X4? It can't find any other appealing title.
>>729447176PureUnadulteratedCope
>>729445939What about the supposed S42 release date in 2026?
>>729447625server meshing is already out and working though, they could probably sell that tech to amazon for another billy if they wanted
>>729447337Presumably he wants it to be good though
It's both funny and scary how every single time, EVERY SINGLE TIME, somebody points out that Scam Citizen is a fraud, there are always some defenders who comes in and start to list various improvements and development and how they are proud to be part of this literal future of gaming.
>>729447703yeeeeessss believe it brother, dig in deep!
>>729447841but No Mans Sky is already better than Star Citizen will ever be
>>729448010If you can't crash your ships, your space game sucks worse than anything where you can. That's why No Man's Sky and EVE Online sucks. Sorry I don't make the rules.
(You) know the rules, and so do IPost your face when you did not fall for Scam Citizen
>>729448132
>>729445939The game is fine if you just purchase a starter pack. Worth every penny. The idiots spending tons of money on ships, they are the suckers, and the reason the devs think they can just milk this shit forever.
>>729447703Lol lmao the cope continues
>>729446915Actual space travel for normalfags will become a thing before Scam Citizen comes out
>>729449647>i-i-im not the sucker, I only spent this much money on it. The other losers are the real suckers!Lol. Lmao even.
>>729449647>just purchase a starter pack. Worth every pennyI actually wasted my time during the last free trial. This "game" isn't worth a single penny.
>>729449647HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Big applause for the new office chairs though. Ergonomy is our N. 1 customer.
>>729449924How is it cope? It's literally facts. Have you even played SC? It is literally innovating years ahead of the rest of the industry. You're gonna regret not investing in it early.
>>729445939>when is it ok for me to lose hope?I lost hope like a decade ago when one of their earliest goals was spending millions on AAA actors. The footage they released from that was so fucking corny and bad it made me realize Chris Roberts isn't some visionary and makes dumb financial decisionsThe fact that this project is still chugging along in that state is unreal to me
>>729450480>you’re gonna regret not investing early!LMAO holy fuck you have to be on the dev team or something. You faggots have received ONE BILLION DOLLARS already. You’re no longer allowed to have excuses
>>729446273They even chose an engine known for being shit with multiplayer. It's all going to be instanceslopThose massive ships with like 50 crew will be all one side will consist of.I'm going to be on my deathbed in 30+ years and this still won't have reached 1.0
I'd expect a treasure trove of cringe but there doesn't seem to be much aside from the cosplays
>>729450841SC is slated to be the biggest game ever created. Of course it's gonna require a lot of money. This isn't some pixelshit indieslop like this board loves to glaze. SC is already pushing the boundaries of human technology. Idc if it takes 5 more years to create the literal dream game for millions of people.
>>729446273
>>729445939>banu merchantmanThat ship is never going to get added.
>when is it ok for me to lose hope?I dunno, ten years ago?
>>729445939Star Citizen is the second prototype for OnlyGames.
>>729451461That's a strong wind.
>>7294459392 MORE WEEKS SISTERS!
>>729446254He dead, anon.
The only thing that annoys me about this game is that all the moons have exactly 0.3G for some reason when it should be between 0.1-0.2G. Also lack of impact craters on the airless moons.
>>729446273You actually fell for this shit and weren't ashamed to admit it?
