they used to be $13 standard and now they're anywhere from $20 to $50.
The build quality and detail has definitely improved significantly but it doesn't seem worth the trade off if they'd be triple the price.

basically all the cool stuff they did was in the Wii U era. Yoshi's Wooly World allowing you to scan every amiibo for a unique skin was pretty cool.
The Botw outfits were also pretty fun bonuses.
