I game with the Keychron M5 tho. 8K polling rate and the PixArt 3950 sensor (best on the market right now). It is the 3rd fastest mouse on the market (lowest click and sensor latency) behind a 300 dollar and 200 dollar mouse.

i have an optical.feels exactly the same as my ancient mechanical keyboard with cherry red switches but i got it on liquidation for like 20 bucks so i'm not angry about it being a marginal improvement at best.
I bought a heavily discounted Razer Huntsman for osu and it feels and sounds like shit compared to mechanical keyboards. I can't speak for other brands but a relatively strong spring with no feedback seems terrible in practice like poking rubber with your finger I much prefer a weak spring with "mechanical" resistance or however you want to call it, I'll even take the pop of a rubber membrane over it. Razer optical mouse switches also feel like trash desune so it might be these soulless chinks fault.PS 60% is a meme I hate it with all my soul but I have only myself to blame for that choice
>>729456359

In any case you can run it at 4K or 1K polling rate if that happens.
The advances in mechanical keyboard tech barely maters VS the classic gamer set up of cherry red style switches. Basically any light pressure activation key set up is fine. Anything more and you're paying for feel or design, but that's fine too. IMO still better off spending peripheral upgrade dough on mice, skates and mouse pads. Even then, it will not turn gamers in the meh ranks into top tier nerds. One's keyboard isn't why so many of you are gold etc..
>>729456980I'm still so fucking pissed that 8bitdo passed up remapping on their numpad in favor of the stupid fucking meme calculator. >>729459025you cant with ball mice either, the ball is way too small to comfortably move around with your fingers. also it's designed to sit loosely inside the mouse, so when it's upside down the ball can't be moved very easily, and when it's right side up the ball sort of drops down a bit and moves easier.I know this cause I tried doing exactly that when I was a little kid

>>729456359What is a compact keyboard with a numpad that doesn't cost over $100?
>>729464242>More than 10x the latency>No programmability >No n key rollover>No analog functionality and customisability
>Been using a Leopold for close to 10 years now>Clean it out every so often but no issues>No one talks about Leopolds
>>729460617that's just a lot of shouting
>>729464297Hall effectTMR is on par with those wootings but much cheaper
>>729463964>blackfacewtf man being racist is so 2005, go away unc
>>729456910Imagine all the software that has been written on this keyboard, like 90% of them.
>>729465402INDUBITABLY I MYSELF AM POWERING UP MY LIGHT AMPLIFICATION DEVICE
>>729464178lol nonwhite
>>729463091oh? do tell then. educate us all, anon.
I still have this membrane Corsair keyboard I brought a decade ago because I thought it was genuine metal but it's actually just fucking plastic
>>729466872i think he's too busy laughing at you
>>729456359Fucking why? Mechanical switches last forever.
>>729456359>tranny boards
>>729456359>No numpad? >No buy
>>729457616what's with your queer obsession though?
>>729456359had to unironically do some research about this and I'm usually well informed in terms of PC hardware. I still use my mechanical one, it's over 10 years old and as good as new but I might buy hall one soon.
>>729467214>Switch layer>Left hand buttons turn into a numpadEndgame comfy keyboards don't have physical numpads and it's a skill issue if you need the legend
>>729467737imagine having to use a modifier key for every fucking input in nethackgod you people are embarassing
>>729468260Imagine using 40 year old games as an excuse to use a less comfy layout
>>729458294yes, and only retards blame a stool for their back problems
>>729468989Having no proper back and lumbar support is directly responsible for back problems tard
>>729467737yeeeee
I've had the same chinkshit RGB mechanical full keyboard for almost a decade. Cleaned it maybe once or twice and it still works, I'll use it until it dies completely.
Bought one of these 5-6 years ago when i was swimming in cash and I never looked back. Topre is the way to go. Only thing I'm interested in doing now is modding it, like adding some weights to the case, O rings, and regreasing the springs. Otherwise it's nearly perfect
>>729456359I have been using the same $20 membrane keyboard for 14 years now and the only issue I ever had is WASD key paint eroding slightly
>>729460259>for starters taking windowed screenshot is a huge page in the ass>pressing the dedicated print screen key is a huge pain in the assAre you fucking retarded
>>729469513Only pisser for me is the terrible stock keycaps and their stupid proprietary mount. I know you can buy MX sliders, but it's expensive and they're annoying to install (both of which are further compounded by having a proper sized board instead of an HHKB).
>she doesn’t have an x ray keyboard I’m gonna keep it a buck fiddy with ya sis, your life is not worth living
>>729460259100% and 80% are the only acceptable sizes. Everything else is an abomination. 122-key boards are also acceptable but that formfactor is almost exclusive to buckling spring boards these days.
>>729456478Old man yelling at clouds
>>729456359my 10+ year old steelseries black mechanical keys still work. Hall effect is only a thing for controllers because PS5 and Xbox produce trash controllers that need their sticks replaced every year.
>>72946955975% don't have print screen button nigger
Man fuck keyboards, give me a mouse that doesn't start misclicking or has a wonky mouse wheel after 6 months. I'm fucking desperate.
>>729470841the problems are the mechanical switches and encoder. reddit had an somewhat updated list of full optical mice. The lamzu paro aurora I have so far is now 7 months old and has no issues yet.
>>729464958nobody needs any of that shit except the autistic fucks who play Osu!
>>729460504My wife Phosphophyllite
>>729457878based, the VXE R1 is my first ever wireless ultralight mouse and it's greatbought it for like 17 bucks on a deep discountmight change the skates though, the ones bundled in aren't too great
>>729460259Literally nothing but 100% is acceptable and if you don't think so then you aren't using your keyboard to its fullest extent.
>>729471664You don't need to eat anything more than rice and potatoes Yet you do
>>729472126oh nooooooo i'm not using THE FULL EXTENT of my keyboard what am i gonna dooooo
>>729459008I've had a Das Keyboard for a decade. 10/10 keyboard, and I keep the mouse receiver in the USB slot.
>>729472126Show your fn layers and alternate layouts If you don't have those you're not using your keyboard to its fullest extent
I don't know what mechanic and optical keyboard is. I have a keyboard from 2001.
>>729456910If your keyboard doesn't have a numpad it's not a real keyboard
>>729472257Troon out probably, TKL and under are typically dick choppers
