>this bread is delicious
This game is one of the hardest games I have ever played. Its nearly impossible on hard mode and to this day i have yet to beat the final level on hard.
As far as "dudes in a hallway" shooters go this is a fucking BRUTAL game.

>zero checkpoints
>the train level
>the minecart sequence

Any of you guys ever beat this shit?
>>
skill issue
>>
Still have the gamecube version
>>
>>729458780
>millennial chungus who beat it with silver bullet and rubber grenades

I can clear the submarine in less than a minute on hard mode the last 2 levels are fucking near impossible man. Do you even remember how many niggaz with rocket launchers there are in that mission?
>>
what happened to MoH before they shat the bed with warfighter?
i remember airborne was kind of a gimmicky flop but loved it all the same but then the franchise just kind of stopped existing and the dichotomy became CoD and BF
>>
Apparently they fixed the difficulty in the PS3 version.

For those who don't know, the enemies in original have more health the further you get into game.
>>

They have always been "dudes in a hallway" arcade shooters that dads in the early 2000s would play. Heroes of the pacific was a game for kids then when they flipped the script with airborne it alienated the dad gamers further and it was breddy much DOA when warfighter came out. That game wasnt even THAT bad but people were super assblsted about it.

Tldr- everyone who liked the series was an old fart and now ppl cant appreciate dudes in a hallway anymore cause of phones n shii
>>
>>729458648
I liked to pretend I was actually there, dodging bullets, crawling looking around as if I was a real person, did the same with James Cameron's King Kong game. Those games just felt so real

I wish I was young again
>>
>>729459297
>ps3
I need one of these so bad. I missed out on all those games cause i was an xbro. I got a ps1 and ps2 and a ps4. I wanna play killzone, resistance, demon souls, spiderman, and bayonetta soooooo badly
>>
>>729458648
>pcfag : uhhh consoleshit cuz uhhh yeah it's bad trust me!

Well, MOHAA was pretty revolutionary, but almost entire studio left and most of them established Infinity Ward, who created Call of Duty. Originally EA was supposed to publish their new game, but they were losing lawsuit with 2015 (original MOHAA studio), so EA gave up, and instead Activision offered them to publish their game. Ever since, Medal of Honor has been chasing Call of Duty and has been having identity crisis.

Airborne was originally being developed on different engine, Renderware, later they switched to UE3.
Airborne had more freedom focused gameplay, but was still in WW2, which was already considered overdone at the time. COD4 was more scripted, cinematic, set in modern era with addicting multiplayer.

>but then the franchise just kind of stopped existing and the dichotomy became CoD and BF
The original plan was to turn BF and MOH into bi-annual series, like Modern Warfare and Black Ops.

>bayonetta
PS3 is literally the worst way to play Bayonetta, to the point this version is a meme for how bad it was
>>
>>729458648
PS1 moh games also didn't have any ceckpoints
>>
>>729460008
What makes it so bad?
>>
>how the FUCK were you supposed to know

Think these numbers were accurate? Or at least the ones they give lol
>>
Weird, lower the number the higher the accuracy. Surprised that the tommy gun has a slower rate of fire and that the g43 has the same fire rate as the springfield
>>
>>729459937
It's a little bit hilarious how Call of Duty managed to go from total domination to Niki Minaj skins in competition with Fortnite instead of Battlefield or Medal of Honor catching up. (Or god forbid a new FPS like BattleBit or something.)
>>
>>729461428
>battle bit
Have you tried "Scorched Earth"?
>>
>>729461764
I have not, is it of a similar quality?

> "dudes in a hallway" arcade shooters that dads in the early 2000s would play.
actually the truth
t. clearly remember my dad owning and playing MoH on the ps1 and both frontline and allied assault later

Its in beta right now on roblox. You can tunnel under enemy objectives, make trenches and build barbed wire. Super fast ttk and everyones either a lvl scrub free kill or a lvl 100 bo55. Its got realistic bullet phyiscs like ricochets, and ballistics. Also you can build casemates and bunkers and put cannons in them after you got enuff points from buiding, killing, cap'ing and fuckin up enemy emlacemts and wire
>>

Degrees of spread?
>>
>>729462703
Must be but im not a game dev so idk lol
>>
>>729462553
I think its why i like darksouls, its just some dudes in a castle and you gotta kill em or be killed. none of the other games in the series really did it like ds1. I can beat that shit in a day without even breaking the game. Another thing ds1 and MOH do well is the fact that you fire the disc in and 10 seconds or less from the title screen and youre in combat

but anon didnt you get the memo? linear = bad this decade
everything should be super open world with at least three minutes to exposition before you get to touch the gameplay

30FPS
Platinum initially developed it as a 360 exclusive (it runs at 60FPS on 360 with some dips) and the PS3 version was an afterthought

I see the reputation of EA having shitty servers still rings true to this day... Guess we'll never know now.
>>
Oh man i played the PS2 version of this game so long ago i don't really remember much of it anymore. I think this is the one with the france nighttime level and that part particularly stood out as difficult. Maybe i should replay it just for the nostalgia
>>
>>729467431
Yeah thats holland and you gotta be sure to shoot the alarms and find the tools to disable the motorcade. That level has awesome music and you get to start a barfight with the gerries at the end of the mission
>>
>>729458648
Does this emulate well on pcsx2?
>>
>>729458648
Arnhem was very liminal with the fog and how the Germans would respawn if you walked back and forth across the map. Very good game all in all with punishing enemies and limited health. A simpler time before ADHD of duty began using auto healing.
>>
Attention to detail and sound design of this game is impressive to this day.
>>
>>729458648
Me and a buddy were obsessed with this game upon release so we definitely beat it multiple times on all the difficulties.
The main criticism against it back then was you are mostly a solo one man army taking on the entire nazi front james bond style.
I remember being impressed by cod1 having you with a full platoon but ultimately I guess it doesn't change much beyond immersion.
Shame this and the ps1 games don't have splitscreen coop, I'd love to revisit them with a friend.
>>
>>729458648
Replaying Allied Assault on hard and it's bullshit how laser accurate the enemies are sometimes.
>>
>>729458648
I beat it with the d-pad, it was before I got accustomed to dual sticks. One of my favorite games actually. Last replayed it in 2019. Last year I replayed European Assault and that was unreasonably hard as well.
