They might give it the Kid Icarus treatment where a well established producer figure gives the IP a go then drops it entirely after seeing it might not meet their expectations. The smart move now is to make another 3D Rayman platformer to fill in that void that people might want more traditional non-gimmicky platformers ála 3D Mario or Astro Bot. Not that I'd be mad with another 2D platformer.
