I like the game mechanics and leveling system more than bg3. Overall the game has more charm too. But gb3 has a stronger story and just generally a more cohesive narrative. Also its nice its 5e if youre into that. But again I think dos2 has better gameplay because they have more freedom to make whatever they want

Then go into the nearby cave (vault of braccus). The armour system sucks dick but aside from that it's fantastic. If you liked the environmental aspect to encounters, DOS2 is leagues better.

When I first played this game, I couldn't understand why I was dying so much in the forest outside of Fort Joy. Read a little later about armor and realized that I never wore anything good so even though I had levels, I was like paper. I like them both equally because they each have enough flaws that make me like the other>OS2's fucking dumb armor system>OS2 gear drops level scale, meaning unique stuff is outscaled by vendor gear>vendors also restock every level up, so not only should you recheck them all every level but quests that involve vendors should be completed near the end of the act to maximize loot>95% of affixes on gear are "you gain +X in this stat" which is very fucking boring and also leaves you with a level 6 pair of shoes when your level 12 because you NEED it to roll higher on some stats than the highroll you got>skill system means there is no downside to have homogenized builds, everyone is taking Scoundrel for Adrenaline+C&D among other teleport skills like 2 Huntsman for Tac retreat which also gives haste
