Yeah I got a really awesome art book from the Vatican museums, it comes in a box and it's big and high res. I love art and it was a really thoughtful gift. Easily my favorite christmas present of the last ten years.

I got an arduino kit and my brother got back from a trip to Japan and brought me a house kimono, which is especially fucking cash because I'm a fatass and he actually found one in my size. This was a great Christmas

All my OEM sticks are worn and every third-party stick is garbage. They all have giant deadzones and cap the range way too high at like 100 or something when OEM sticks typically only reach the mid 80s. That means you have two massive circles of zero and full tilt with the rest of the ranges condensed into a tiny strip between them. This makes any game that requires precise stick movement impossible to play. I've tried every single third-party stick and they're all impossible to use for games like Goldeneye. The metal bowl solves the problem of the plastic parts grinding together and wearing out over time. It works amazing. I finally have a stick that works as good as OEM again.

>>729469681I just got the module since it's cheaper and I have a lot of broken controllers to fix. I went with the plastic stick also because it's cheaper, but it does feel just like an OEM stick. I've been waiting for a chance to buy a steel stick for years, so when I heard someone was making alternatives I jumped at the chance. There's also Project Renaissance, which is another steel stick alternative which sounds much better than both that and the Bitsticks, but it's even more expensive and I think is also in waiting list hell like steel sticks. That one has an adjustable cap on the stick which allows you to modify the range and tension of the stick on the fly. Though I know ever having one of those is a pipe dream.

Just what I bought myself. Two new cameras, a new capture card, a shock mount + pop filter + boom arm for my mic, and a Thunderbolt 5 hub. No photos because it's all arriving on Monday.
I haven't received a Christmas present in over 20 years. I'm 35, I have no family or friends, Christmas is just a reminder of how lonely and isolating life is, and it gets worse each year.
