My wife and I went in for an induced birth after the baby was more than a week late. She was in labor on the epidural for three fucking days without making much progress before they finally pulled her in for a C-section. Counting the postpartum recovery, we were in the hospital for more than a week.
Bringing an entire console and tv is a bit much, but my wife and I were mostly just laying around playing our steam decks and switches waiting for the baby to pop out. I read the entire book I brought and must have gotten halfway through Tales of Symphonia before the baby even arrived. I don't get the tiktoks about women crying about this shit, like am I supposed to scroll TikTok and Facebook for eight fucking days? How is that any better? It's one thing if you're playing CoD while she is actually pushing but SO MUCH of birth is just fucking WAITING.
