The devs were careful to always put fun things into encounters like enemies standing on top of tall things or next to cliffs for you to push them off, or piles of explosive barrels, or lava pits, etc. This is stuff you see in the Divinity games too but Divinity has the downside of having the gay ass action point system. The story and characters are whatever. The game does a pretty good job of having your choices leave actual consequences, with pretty major story points shifting based on your actions in each zone.
Very long with a ton of content, cool boss fights, Necromancer is pretty fun in this game, can make hot girl characters (if you are a troon), can have full female party nude 24/7 if you want, pubes on the women.Rest of the games aspects are a solid 7/10 except for DND 5e which is just very limiting compared to other CRPGs

Bg3 is a mediocre game with a poor story, bad "roleplaying", some of the worst companions to ever be in an rpg (all are boring, whiny, playersexual idiots with all the most powerful mary sue ass backstories), and 5e is a trash fucking system for a video game. It is a solid 5 out of 10. The women have no tits or hips to speak of. The modding scene is, surprise, full of trannies (all the necromancer mods are made by a really fucking autistic tranny). Pathfinder WOTR has a better necromancer path because the story can be about you turning into a lich, but even that game has its problems. There's really no game out there that really provides a great necromancer experience.

It's a good game with a good production value. The issue I found is that the game is quite easy, especially after act 1. One reason the game is easy is because normally in DND you roll a D20 and add your dex modifier for initiative. However in BG3 you roll a D4 and add your dex modifier. Which makes the alert feat and elixir of vigilance very strong. With the D20 system you can still roll shit and end up with a not ideal turn order even with +5 initiative. But with a D4 system you are almost always going first with +5 initiative. Even if you roll the lowest (1) you have an initiative of 6 + dex modifier, and if an enemy rolls the highest (4) then that's 4 + dex modifier. So any order for an enemy to go first they need to roll a 4 and have +2 higher dex modifier than you and you have to roll a 1. Rarely happens. I beat my honor run first try by giving my characters with alert (like my fighter that got bonus feats) or elixir of vigilance. Your whole team going first every combat is a huge advantage and easy to do with elixir of vigilance. I don't know what Larian was thinking. At least in Original Sin 2 you needed wits or initiative gear. In BG3 you just drink an elixir.
