Now that the end of the Starlight Celebration is impending and imminent, I wanna ask, did you enjoy it?
I did but I also brought the XIV cookbook and had been making mulled wine that day so I enjoyed reading about how other cities might make it.It was lore fluff but it was the kind I enjoy, for me it was greatFor the average player though it was another missThe emote is cool but its still just a 5 minute quest with 2 rewards that are just colour swapped a few times.I miss when they made them an actual event with gameplay, I miss when XIV was a game and not a VN.
>>729479152I wish i could've experienced the events when they were actual events :(But how is the cookbook? Are the recipes actually good and easy to follow?
Didn't you post this thread like two days ago? Janny killed it because it was like one post every fifteen minutes LOL
>>729479450noooooooooooooo the game isn't dead, it's not you doomer!!! I'll just post some irreverent nonsense whenever the thread hits page 10 so thread stays alive
This thread? It's for me, of course!
i was expecting to see more wacky and creative glams but people are still wearing jet black 2b bottom slop
>>729479262I've not had a chance to make anything from the 2nd volume yet, here's a link to the first though:https://anyflip.com/lphgc/augvIf you're able, I really recommend Starlight Dodo, particular as we're still in the festive season for a little while longer. I've made it 3 times or so and its 10/10 and pretty straight forward to make>But how is the cookbook?I like it, I was worried it might be a bit gimmicky given that its just a gaming cookbook but it's mostly just dishes from the game with a little something to give them a 'fantasy' twist, such as ginger in the pizza dough for the pizza recipe. I really want to grab more gaming cookbooks after this one. They are 'real' dishes, just real dishes from the game. You could serve them to someone who has no idea about XIV and they wouldn't wonder what weird ass meal you've just put in front of them. >Are the recipes actually good and easy to follow? Most do have a easy/mid/hard difficulty, Starlight Dodo was a mid and it wasn't particularly difficult just make sure you follow the instructions, you might have to substitute a few things if you can't find spices/herbs in store. UK doesn't molasses for example, I used treacle which was similar enough but depending on your location there might be a few things you have to play around with.
