they are not lonely in real life, so playing singleplayer doesn't allow their loneliness to creep into their mind after being suppressed by youtube shorts and tik tok and instagram and vine and spotify and gacha all day
I feel this and it's weird because I'm a millenial that played tons of singleplayer games as a child, but nowadays they just don't do the trick for me there's that weird uncanny feeling of being the last person alive in a world of NPCs that kills the experience for me.
