Navigating without the compass in both games was a treat, slowly taking in the forests, identifying natural landmarks and trying to find your bearing with the position of the sun and rivers was very relaxing.Any games for this experience?

I loved the game but there's not really much to talk about, it doesn't have a lot of replayability until you haven't played it for 10 years and have forgotten what happens . The combat is cool but even on hardest difficulty you don't really struggle to dispatch anybody when you have good gear and a high level, and I got to that point quickly because I always do all the side quests first. So the gameplay was not the best and I have this same "overlevelling myself" problem in a lot of games I play. Also the story doesn't really have a lot in the way of branching paths for it to be worth replaying.

Played longswords in the first one and I wanted to try out polearms this time around but apparently there are only a handful polearms in the game, you can only craft a couple low tier polearms, and they have shit durability I guess hammers/axes are the same..

Great game, won't replay. The combat in both games is so tedious and also somehow boring because both the mechanics of it but also the balancing/scaling. By the time you get to the second map you will obliterate any fight in the second half of the game. Its one thing to have bad balancing, but man the actual mechanics are still so bad its just not fun either.
