>>729501347Yeah, but you have to not really care about certain quests since beating Mohg might skip some stuff (i don't remember). You can use faith spells and wraith calling bell to do Varre's questline, or really any easy to get strong weapon against Mohg since you can just drop it afterwards. Then once you're in SOTE all you have to do is avoid the trigger points for the main quest there and you can go grab a bunch of items like the first perfume bottle, dancer robes, etc. If you're not good enough to beat Mohg at low levels, you can just summon for his fight.

That just means nerfing the 2% because you can already wreck shit with the vast majority of the weapons in this game. This isn't dark souls 3.

Even if you completely nerf that 2% into being genuinely useless all it would do is create a new highest tier of other weapons that you'd be gimping yourself to not use.The best you can do is make everything close enough to the same level of strength that the player accepts the difference, whether by nerfing or buffing.

>>729503349Personally I think they did a pretty good job at that, there's nothing in the game that is unusable (reasonably so) aside from maybe the meme weapons. There's not a massive disparity between basic attacks outside of PVP, and you'd be hard pressed to find an Ash of War that isn't at least good. Every single build archetype has strong weapons or spells too. Ofcourse there are outliers, but obviously stuff like the Polearm of the Bud which is shit because of animations and Basic Dagger or Torchpole aren't ever going to be up to par.
Another day of STR players crying for everything else to be nerfed while they jump attack stunlock spam everything to death
