Why does the video game industry not produce stars the way that film, music, etc. do?
>>
>>729498435
Because video games are a joint effort where voice actors are just part of the cog rather than front and center like movie starts.

How do I get a rich girlfriend? Most of the girls are either broke or people I know from work who make roughly the same as I do.
Note: I’m VERY handsome and funny

Nobody outside of a subset of steam's userbase even knows who gabe newell even is. Geoff Keighley is more well-known than him.
>>
>>729498861
nobody outside the PC gaming industry knows who he is, he's not a star.
even console owners dont know who he is

romero and carmack back in the day?

Attributing works to a single person is necessary to prevent the facade of Noosphere Monopoly Enterprise from being torn apart.
Copy rights, patents and trademarks are rarely so cut and dry as they need to be for the government to be able to insist on granting a Noosphere Monopoly to them for the sheer length of time that copyright (practically indefinite), patents (20 years) and trademarks (indefinite) demand.

If that's your bar for a star, then the video game industry already has one no-ass having narcissistic dumb bitch whose lyrical skills are bottom of the barrel generic teenage vomit and compositions suck shit and bore even EVE fans to death. Frosk from G4.
>>
>>729498557
You’re not wrong, being handsome and funny definitely gets you in the door-but rich girls usually hang out in spots where money filters the attendance. Think charity galas, yacht clubs, high-end art exhibits, alumni events at pricey universities, niche parties in expensive neighborhoods, etc. If you're serious, you’ve gotta start lurking where the trust fund crowd vibes. Also, make sure your Instagram doesn’t scream “coomer with a PS5,” that’s kryptonite to heiress types.

video game is the place where stars from music, film, etc go to after their have a career that is good enough

Because there isn't a giant media apparatus to market their identity as a star.
Hollywood and whatever its music-industry equivalent are haven't produced the best or even good stuff in quite some time now.
Same with games and most tripe a studios.
The answer to "Why hasn't games produced stars like that?" is "Why do you care?"

His pathetic attempts at making himself a superstar in the gaming world has wound up just making him a joke.
>>
Why do normalfags like to worship celebrities?
>>
>>729500903
They don't. It's an Amerishart and Angloshart -born disease that naturally distributed across their colonies. But they are the sources.
We need to go back to the true Roman way of putting actors and actresses beneath even slaves on the social ladder.
>>
>>729500903
They lack the ability to form their own thoughts and create works of art, so they worship those that do.
>>
>>729500963
Don't pretend like Asians aren't obsessed with K-Pop shit or Indians with Bollywood or Muslims with paedophiles.
>>
>>729498435
That looks absolutely soulsucking.
>>
>>729501047
Pay attention to the colonies part, also K-Pop and such shit is derived from boy bands and Backstreet Boys, so USA and Anglosharts are still the source.
>>
>>729501089
Monarchy is the source of all this.
>>
>>729501115
The reality that some people are just better than other people and deserve to be worshiped is the source of all this.
>>
>>729501115
True, and if we go far enough Ancient Egypt is really the first documented that drives up celeb worship to the level of televangelism.

Why are beaners obsessed with people who kick round balls around? They were colonised by Iberians.

More people are searching gabe than geoff. Stop simping for Geoff you fucking cock sucker.
>>
>>729498435
What’s the psychology behind boots fetishism?
>>
>>729501270
Because, believe it or not, beaners had their own ball games in Central America just like South America did; and Romans did as well which ported to Iberia. So the two just built upon one-another. Humans love kicking shit I guess, and when you have heads and hearts falling off a pyramid there's always someone with the inhibition to feel the various motions and emotions of kicking it and seeing it fly.

We used to.
Lara Croft
OG Kratos
The chick from BloodRayne
Master Chief

We used to have fucking ICONS in the industry. Now we only have Bing Bing & Co., SANIC, and... Nothing more really. Kratos Is now a faggot, Lara is a Karen, BloodRayne chick lost momentum, and Master Chief is now Master C0ckh0ld thanks to that dumb Paramount series.
Modern Vidya killed himself.

the videogame industry generates significantly more money than the movie and music industry combined so you would assume we should see big stars and events just like those, but there eis a key difference
>hours of engagement
watching a movie or listening to a record is at most a 2h experience where as playing a game can be a 100h multiday experience
idk about the rest of you /v/ermine, but after 8h waging, spending time with the family and playing vidya I have 0 (zero) time left to dedicate to (((celebrities)))

Only the Mesoamericans and Inca. Nomadic jungle niggers in the Amazon were barely above animals when the Iberians arrived and those countries bave no culture beyond worshipping round ball kickers.
>>
>>729501389
I have no idea why Rayne was so famous because those games weren’t popular at all if I’m judging by people I know who played them (which was nobody). She was also promptly forgotten.
>>
>>729501492
Well the Inca touched upon the kingdoms north and north-east of them which themselves touched the Amazon, that's a fun series of wars during Incan expansion; so their balls games did spread and touch upon Amazonian heathens even if barely.
Would have been fun to see Incans cockdock their borders with the Aztec Federation for the inevitable war to ensue; though Aztecs would probably prolapse considering their instability even before Europeans arrived. There's a game storytelling idea for you for an RTS, had the gaming industry had any creative capacity and historical literacy skills to then drive into alt-history in fun ways.

I think it's easier to become rich than to find a rich girl.
If you aren't wealthy or you don't have wealthy friends then you are out of luck. You need to network until you are invited to social gatherings frequented by upper class. If rich girls are good nuggets then social gatherings are the mines.
If you are middle class at least then your best shot is to join a fancy tennis club.
You should consider equestrian sports as well, like dressage or polo. Girls love horses.

I want to see Gabe posing in front of flashing cameras in a weird dress and high heels.
