>>729500454>If you can get by the visuals it's more or less on par with SotN if not slightly better.Pretty much this, the gameplay is solid enough for an igavania but if we're comparing to other igavanias it's by far the ugliest.That image looks badass though, imagine it was a Vanillaware style aesthetic instead, I'd coom buckets.There's lot's of nice features in this game that make it easy to recommend I think, the shortcut system for swapping loadouts is really nice, there's a decent amount of variety in how you can play, multiple playable characters including a secret one, built in randomiser and online support, it's great to have access to all of this without needing any mods.

I've only beaten the game recently myself so I haven't played Dominque's mode yet, or Zangetsu's. I thought it was pretty good. I get the impression a lot of crowdfunded titles attract the TORtanic crowd where it's hip to have a hateboner for the game and they must fail. I thought Bloodstained was pretty damn good, I actually think the system for quick switching equippable souls beats the pause switching shit from Aria of Sorrow. I thought the 2.5D was fine too. People act like this game looked like Cave Story 3D. I didn't spend a dime on Bloodstained but enjoyed it a lot.
