Im stuck on prestige 1. How do i get better?
spoil the harpies
>>729504941And the foxes.
>>729504432Git gud.
>Residents don't go to their houses to sleepliterally unplayable
>>729504432Remove harpiesBan harpiesForce harpies to sleep outsideFeed harpies Biscuits Send harpy refugees to the citadel
>>729504432Kiss harpiesHug harpiesCuddle with harpiesMassage harpy feetBuy gifts for cute harpies
>>729507731They're bots in different skins, the game is soulless if mechanically good.
>>729507859It should have dwellings like that badger game and the residents should run to them to sleep at night
>>729504432>Trade>Open first dangerous glade before first storm >Bring wood/planks/fabric with expedition, it speeds up building higher tier buildings by a lot>Dont turn in orders right away, keeping higher impatience = lower hostility >Remember to build as many hearths as possible and learn to micro the firekeeper (so they do other shit, and only assign them when you need the fire stoked)>Only allow cunts to eat good food/wear capes/boots when theres a reason for it, ie. trying to each blue standing>Foxes are OP
>>729504432Either move on to the next game or fall into metafaggotry.
>>729507731A lot of the magic is gone once you realize that you dont actually have to build your settlements like towns because it doesnt matter and its much more efficient to build them like factories instead.Your people might as well be robots
>>729508482Yep. I replay this every so often (got 200 hours in it and bought it twice) and at some point I just start making huge clumps of houses with no paths because it's pointless to try and make things look nice and soon after I quit
Victory begins in the preparation window. You should have enough to pick the best camp for the map type or a plantation building, depending on the map.You should also pick up more villagers, you almoat always want more people faster to outscale the yearly aggression.Pick you species of villagers with care, you don't want many harpies, bats, frogs or lizzards at the start (many means 8+). Frogs can be managed if you pick bricks embarkment bonus. You usually want the group with the most villagers otherwise. You want to expand into a big area at the start of year 2 and 3. You want to expand to 2 small areas in year 1.Think about your building vhoices very carefully and only pick buildings AFTER revealing the first big area at the beginjng of year 2. This lets you choose according to the resources.Trading, unless you need it for missions or have perks is for year 2 or 3+.Always look to boost your weaker species first..t Prestige 15, I lose one town in 20
>>729504432you close it
>>729507846They are pretty cute, even if they're cunts.
>>729507859it can't be soulless with that music and sound design, just the changing seasons and the rain coming give me some kinda asmr tingles i don't usually experience from those annoying bitches scratching a microphone.
>>729504432>make 2 large houses then prioritize species housing>only open glades about half way through the storm unless theres a modifier that punishes you for it, open at least 1 dangerous glade per year. Avoid small glades if you can help it past the first 2>disable coats so harpies don't waste them all when you don't need the sizable resolve boost they provide in the storm>blueprint priority should be 1. Basic refining for planks/bricks/fabric 2. farming/advanced gathering you know you can use 3. fuel 4. species needs/advanced refining to support them 5. tools 6. everything else>don't feel pressured to choose blueprints/cornerstones/orders right away, you can usually open a glade to get a better idea of what you'll need early on>keep crates unopened unless you absolutely need whats inside, send them to the citadel with tools instead. If you have enough crates and tools laying around this will often close out a game.>Trade as often as possible, having loads of money makes everything easier. Don't feel bad taking unfavorable trades early on if it means getting your level up with other settlements to get those juicy high profit deals later. If you can get the cornerstone that increases trade profit by 1 grab it, it scales with the trade multiplier and makes leveling a breeze>don't forget to level up your hearths with decorations, grabbing a service building earlier isnt the worst thing since you can use it to get your main hearth to level 3 for the global 10% double production chance
>>729514639based vidya and strategy enjoyer
>develop whatever resouce the map gives you>sell the surplus>buy other resources you need to make everyone happyLiterally every single game
Ubermensch>Humans >Beaverstrusted allies>Foxes>FrogsI want their hearth keeper passive>Harpies>BatsBy process of elimination>LizardsI do feel like the species are pretty balanced though outside of humans and beavers being obviously the best
>>729514963thats all well and good until prestige 10 when the value of everything you own gets cut in half.
