There are two types of good game reviewer. >Nitpicky super autists who obsess over one or two particular game genres>Regular people leaving customer reviews in Steam and shitBoth useful for different reasons. Game journos are neither of these. The fundamentally can't review any game in a meaningful way. They lack the knowledge and passion of the first good reviewer, and they lack the authenticity of the second. Because their job is to review game so they can't play for fun they play for efficiency (if they play at all) and they have to keep advertisers happy so their opinions are always insincere and compromised.

I like the roll move but the fact you can't chain it makes it obvious this game didn't recieve the design spark of light that Mario 64 did. It's also pretty easy. I think Mario Sunshine is slightly better, but only slightly. I think this game escapes being a cope game for kids that didn't have a Gamecube. It's very good.
