Armored Core: For Answer actually has a canon ending, and it's the genocide/destruction ending. This is seen in Armored Core: Verdict Day, where you can see crashed Cradles in the backgrounds of various maps.To further elaborate, ACFA has three endings, one where you let the cradles fly and humans never break free from the earth, but they get to live in peace for a little bit. Another ending has you bring down the cradles via robbing them of their power (ground based energy collectors), to use their power source to destroy attack satellites, so they can go to space. The third is when you destroy the cradles and genocide everyone for fun. In the first two endings, when the cradles inevitably run out of power, they're specifically designed to glide safely to the ground, even if they have zero power left. The only way they can actually crash is if someone directly attacks the cradles and destroys their engines, which is what you do in the destruction ending.
