>You WILL use a consumable to beat this boss, and if you die anyway, too badNot very fun.
>>729530176you can parry him and kill him that way
>>729530176He’s easy bro. The underwater one was the only bullshit.
>>729530176they are optional though
i refuse to play the fromsoft game where im forced to play a dex build
>>729530301>Wolf can zoom around like a fishYou mean the only FUN one, right?
One of the actual flaws of the game. Pretty minor though considering every single one of these fuckers is optional.
>>729530301I found the underwater fight much easier
>>729530176hope you brought lube!
>>729530176>you can beat him without it>they are entirely optional>you can buy an infinite amount of the consumables later in the game>there's even a tool that gives you the same effect as the consumable in case you somehow don't have access to itThat being said, yeah, they are pretty annoying to fight without the confetti.
>>729530447Yeah getting shot by heatseeking black deathlasers is great fun
>>729530176This isn't even a boss, its just an enemy or miniboss at best. Jesus man, get some skill.
that reminds me, I should play that one sekiro modresurrection or something like that
who else ragequit and dropped this game and the drunkard
I just exploited them, I've been dealing with Miyazaki's shit long enough that I don't care anymore
>>729531669I ragequit for a bit at the ghost woman but that was after an all nighter. Just drop games for a bit and return, you'll be back with a fresh mind to engage again.
>>729531669kekI mean looking back he's easy, but I can definitely see him being a difficult obstacle if you just go to Hirata first. And if you try to clear the mobs before the fight everytime, then it's bound to be tedious, too.
>>729530301how? its just hit and run
>>729531669I didn't, but I almost burnt myself out trying to solo him. I was too weak since Hirata was my first area, so I cucked out in the end.
Any mods that change the parry sound to be less loud and annoying? I start to hate it after playing for a bit.
>>729531653Yes. Resurrection is based. Straight upgrade for the game.
>>729528585what the fuckdid you create the same thread as me?
>>729530176not what you should be complaining about, retard>half a dozen of these things>rewards you with reusable sugars>when the game drops you more sugars than you'll ever use naturally I never fight these things
>>729532601lmao. No fucking way. So desperate for a (you) that they are just copy pasting threads now?
>>729530176Imagine actually using your consumables instead of stockpiling them for "when you really need them" and finishing the game with 99+ of them.
>>729531669The drunkard was my first boss (well, second if you count the spear guy) and it made me almost drop the game, the runback and bunch of enemies that surrounded him made the fight really tedious
>>729531302This. Regardless they really are the only blemish I can think of.
>>729533420>the only blemish I can think ofFor me it's the spirit emblems. I genuinely think the game would have simply been better if resting/dying always restored your emblems to full, without the need for purchasing them.
>>729533595fixed in Resurrection
>>729530176>No-o you can't beat this cool optional boss the same way you beat every other boss>No-o every enemy encounter should be similar to the previous oneThe fact that people genuinely believe these things is the reason why gaming became tiresome.
He’s a completely optional boss for people who want to test their skills. The things they drop are of limited value. The fact that perfect parries don’t build terror makes it obvious. If you’re a pussy stay the fuck away and save them for later when you can buy infinite confetti
I fucking loathe those niggers.
>>729530301The underwater is far easier since its easy to just zoom away from the insta-death fog
I have to eventually come back to complete the second playthrough bad ending route. I did all the good ending bosses and that wasn't too bad. Demon of Hatred can fuck off, but I decided to beat that boss legitimately just to say I did it. But the final boss made up for it.
>>729535187The answer is always OoT. There is no disputing this.
>>729532601i'm so tired of the third worlders ruining this place. I don't hate 4chan. I don't hate the board. I don't hate most posters. it's the small minority of constantly spamming SEAnigs, spics and jeets that treat this place like reddit/twitter.
>>729535459Genichiro-Isshin is genuinely Fromsofts best final boss and I thought Sekiro was mid as an overall experience
Bros I'm fighting Owl and I only have 4 prayer necklaces, apparently you should be able to have like 7 by now? How did I miss so much?
>>729532601Oh whoops, lol no. I'm just playing Sekiro, wanted to complain, and this was just the first thing to come to mind. My actual issue is the fact that I've apparently missed a ton of stuff where I'm at in the game. Maybe I should've complained about completely missing the O-Rin sidequest stuff, I killed her and then went back to the guy near the well, and he attacked me. Never went to the bottom of the Abandoned Dungeon cause a different wraith guy has the same problem as the enemy in the OP
>>729535637In all fairness, a lot of the final bosses tend to be bigger for story over gameplay>DeS has a slug for a boss that barely does any real attacks while spewing dialogue at you>DS1 has a final boss you can parry, has three attacks, and is generally seen as a joke outside of his music>BB has a a great one whose attacks are weak and quickly dies>DS2 has a burning tree whose gimmick is basically wait for him to appear, attack, and then wait your turn again>DS3 has DS1's boss but better and is probably the second best, but is also fairly simple>ER has an actual boss and then a boss who just wants to run away half the timeIt's really no contest that Sword Saint Isshin is considered the best, even if you can argue he has too many phases and Genichiro is only there as a formality at that point.
>>729535187how can you be overrated if your game shapes a genre? sekiro and souls likes are a thing because the games are outstanding. If you want to talk overrated you can take most of the zelda games.
>*spawns literally like 50 identical yet different chinkoid parryslop clones in you're path*How did sekiro do it?Why sekiro? Why the chinese?
>>729537135By that logic OoT actually isn't overrated because of how many developers admit how much it shaped several different genres and how people made games going forward
>>729531671Sekiro did not provoke this response in me but Elden Ring certainly did
>>729532696i only killed the gachiin spiritfall one so i could be morr neenja
>>729537602Sure, something highly influential seems deserving of a reputation.
>>729537525Fromsoft has strong ties with China more than their parent company at least.
>>729533420That's the double ape fight imo. Dual aggro management is awful in this game.Headless were rage inducing when I wanted to force it but their moveset is actually pretty limited if you take a second, they're optional, and I actually don't get angry at their weird animation timings since that's basically what they're supposed to do as weird assholes. When the camera gets wonky near walls in the forest and you get grabbed it's bad though. >>729533595Spirit emblems are VERY generous imo. They're dirt cheap on NG, you will get tons just from killing enemies, and a single purse (which are everywhere) is worth a boss worth. Their problems is that they're like blood vials in bloodborne where if you walk in with a hoarder mentality, you'll gimp yourself for nothing AND miss out on all the cool shit prosthetics offer.
>>729536851That's the final boss. The queen isn't much better.
>>729530176Bad at videogames anon?
>>729535831You probably went for the corrupted monk before the guardian ape
>>729539897That sounds right. I kinda forgot about him, since O Rin seemed much harder iirc.
I stopped playing around senpou temple, I think I'm half to 3/4ths done with the game. Should I go back and finish it? The bosses are fun but I got really burnt out from the areas, especially the areas with the gunmen
>>729531669I ragequit after I got the coof curse trying to learn how to play the game within 10 minutes.
Bump
>>729530176>bossthere are 3 or 4 of these
>>729530301>The underwater one
>>729539123>double apeimo double ape was fine. unlike any other dual boss they don't dogpile you as separate entities. instead wife monke follows up after attacks of the headless.
>>729530176its an apparition, how are you supposed to kill it with just normal steel you retard
>>729543317sp00py
>>729530176Good one Memezaki
>>729530176 >2014 >Okay, so we're making a stealth game and we want the play to be stealthy to complete the game, but it should also have a limited combat system so that it's not an immediate game over if you get caught by a guard >How can we design a combat system that is so AWFUL that players will avoid using it except as a last restort? >I know, we'll make it so that your character can only parry in open combat, and needs to get a certain number of parries in a row against his opponent to knock them off balance get a kill! >Brilliant! Players won't be completely helpless against individual guards, but they'll probably want to stick to stealth as much as they can for sure, because no one would actually *like* such a fucking DOGSHIT combat system.
>>729543643Not bad, nice biddies
>>729530176sekiro is hard until you learn to play the way it wants then its the easiest from game. very forgiving
>>729545230They're called snowbunnies chuddy
>>729531669>ragequit and droppedKWAB
>>729543528This just makes me want to play styx. I didn't know it was a sekiro precursor
>>729536471after we got to use Torrent ER definitely is the second best
>>729541794Yeah that really bugged me, but it seems like I’ve missed most sidequests anyway, so I guess it doesn’t matter much.
Owl is giving me a hard time
Stop making me want to play again. I still haven't unlocked the tengu outfit yet.
>didn't realize I had to actually go into the menu and use the memories to get the stat buffs after beating bosses
>>729552859dumb frog
I love replaying Sekiro. I don't have to think what I want to do this run, what weapon or what I should prioritize. I click new game, run in and kill everything I see. Shit is pure adrenaline
>>729551891Which Owl fight?
>>729530301Anon you can kill these by swimming around them and spamming attack lmao thats it. They spaz out and cant do shit to you.
>>729530301The underwater ones are easier in every way>no shitty fog reducing your movement>only require one deathblow>don't even need confetti to damage their health
>>729537525Because Wolf leaves for the mainland in the divine child ending
>>729555470>Implying you don't go to Mainland Japan.
>>729530421katanas are an int weapon though
>>729535187virtually no one talks about FFV
>>729554704I guess the first? Right after the Ashina Castle Waypoints were disabled.
>>729536471If you count DLC final bosses too, I'd sayOrphan of Kos > Ivory King > Gael > Radahn
>>729551891Just use the dodge with no directional input. You have enough iframes for all his dumb attacks. Use flame vent if you can get one off. I think I only ever parried his overhead attack because the forward dodge always triggers that response. Use flame vent on everything. Fire effect pauses posture Regen and chips health.
>>729544683it's only hard on the first playthrough because everything that makes the combat fluid (like Mikiri, jumping attack, jumping prosthetic, damage reduction, posture recovery, etc etc) were locked in the skill tree. People said it was easy because they only remember the part when they already unlocked most of the skill tree. Try playing again from the start instead of NG+ to see what I meant.AC6 also had the same mechanics. It becomes progressly easier because you have unlocked stat upgrades (not to be confused with mech parts).I don't know how anyone has never noticed this. It was a fucking 5 years old game, and no one, I emphasize NO ONE notice this.
>>729532442The sword clashing sounds can be considered a sole reason why the game is better than another game. You don't change peak
>>729557384Just watch how speedwriters do it something.
>>729530176He's gonna violate your ass with or without the confetti.
>>729560735>>729562810Flame Vent didn't seem to be doing much, but I got it after a lot of breaks. It was very much a "don't get aggressive for no reason" sort of fight that I'm bad with.
>>729562896do not ask Wolf what happened in the sweltering summer of 1567 inside the Ashina cavern
>>729531669I quitely dropped when I couldnt pass the giant ape and that guy in the OP. You need masochist powerlevels to beat Sekiro
>>729563849the ape and double ape were my favorite fights desu
>>729531669Yeah, I got stonewalled by the drunkard in one direction and stonewalled by the samurai right after the chained ogre in the other direction. Dropped it for 6 months and then came back and beat it 3 times in a row.

>>729530421>i refuse to play the fromsoft game where im forced to play a dex build
>>729562896Uuuh.. why is he molesting Wolf?
The mini bosses were way harder than the actual bosses for me. That fucking purple guy in the well made Genichiro look like a bitch.
>>729564471You were just fighting the camera on that one.
>>729530421it's not a souls game retard
>>729564309>why is an ugly bastard molesting
>>729531669>who else ragequit and dropped this game and the drunkardI did every one of them except Demon of Hatred. That I cheesed by using that wall glitch to make him fall of the map. My issue wasn't that he's hard, its that I found him boring to fight and I wanted my upgrades before next playthrough.
>>729536471>DS2Is that a dlc thing? Nashandra was the final boss in the original release.
>>729564309Japanese believe that the soul is stored in the anus
>3 kill bossoh no
did anyone else find sword saint isshin to be extremely easy?i got him to his final phase on my first try, and then killed him on the 5thit was kind of a letdown for me desuwhy was he even inside of genshiro anyways? that didnt make any sense
>>729566534it's what black mortal blade do. Ishin is already dead and genichiro brought Ishin back with it.Try the inner one in the gauntlet. It's so different than what you're facing.
>frustrated my entire first play>play the entire game NOT know that the different sounds of clashing swords telegraphs when enemies suddenly gain hyper armor>realize in the middle of Sword Saint Isshin how that sound mechanic worksI was retarded but having a game go from a 7/10 to a 10/10 in the final battle due to gameplay mechanics was surreal. it was like finding the final piece of a puzzle.
>>729531669For me it was the owl. He and genichiro filtered me for a good while. Beat them both eventually though. >>729566534I struggled with the first stages a lot then it got way easier at his lightning stage and I think I beat him on the 2nd attempt I got up to the lightning part. I struggled a lot with the first genichiro boss of the game though. That shit probably killed more than any other boss.
I remember there was some guy with a naginata named “seven spears of ashina” and he himself wasn’t hard but there was this guy in the back who’d aggro the entire army onto you so I spent multiple attempts finding the best place to lure the mini boss over to and we just fought behind the building.
>>729567347Bruh, your ninjutsu puppetry?
Sekiro is the game I went from>how do I even beat beat this bossto>this is the easiest fromsoft game to not die in
>>729567387I didn’t have that yet. I fought that guy right after beating the fucking, horse guy. Gyoubu I think.
>>729567465I thought you're talking about that last ashina spear when everything ablaze, my bad
>>729531669>Die to drunkard like 14 times>Die to Seven Spear general at Ashina Reservoir like 8 times>Beat Genichiro, Gyoubo and Blazing Bull on first try>Beat Guardian Ape on fifth try
>>729531669I was close to ragequiting the game on the stupid drunkard because I was getting sick of the boss runbacks and adds. I didn't even know you could you rely on the allied samurai NPC to help you in the fight, so I was pretty much kicking myself when I found that out watching a video. At least I can say that I beat the guy without any help.
>>729531669i just left the area and came back when i had more max hp and gourd uses
When I see people talk Souls games, I have to wonder if I'm just that bad, or if people who are as bad or worse than me just never say how many deaths they take.
>>729530176Sekiro is a great game, my favorite from Fromsoft, but yeah divine confetti is a dumb mechanic.
>>729566884I think you're supposed to learn that from fighting Lady Butterfly.
>>729530176Fromsoft consumables are so dogshitJust do it like nioh games where you have consumables that reset on rest and you can increase its capacity by increasing omnyo and ninjustu

beat the game for the third time today; still had my old save so i played charmless/demon bell this timepretty good game
Oh I’m starting to run out of Pellets. I’m sure I can buy them somewhere, dunno if they’re limited or not.
