Foolish Mortals was pretty decent, even had a plot twist I never saw coming though if I'd bothered to think about it I might have realized it in advance. But I don't treat every game like a mystery game sometimes I just go with it.

Characters were a bit too talkative at times, and dialogue was randomly unskippable because they paid money for human voice actors and wanted to force people to listen to it. they should have just used AI. Also some of the puzzles were there type where you couldn't solve them because the game did that thing where things change without alerting you and you have to go back to some random room and you could see there's a person there now for some reason when there wasn't one before.

Still, the final puzzle was excellent.

>>
>>729568902
The cross is her partner's who fell in battle against the demons and she retired from being a battle nun and runs an inn for others now all by herself but she still wears his cross as well as her own to remember him. It's very poignant actually.

Anyway I just wanted to see you make yourself look like a fool for a bit before I told you it was never AI and the guy did it on purpose.

Strange experimental "Art Game" / Walking Sim. The visual style can be a bit rough and the writing borders on being pretentious nonsense babble sometimes, but overall I ended up liking it a lot (despite not really caring for the devs previous games). Certainly a cool experience, like walking around the inside of a schizophrenic artist's head.
>>
>>729569356
NTA but now I think you're a lying dipshit about having played the game or the game not using AI slop.

The game has four separate and entirely different designs for the nun. The background art on the steam page has a cross as part of her cloak and no necklaces, the art in game has two crosses and a different outfit in general, the title art for the game has a nun with her cloak having gold trim and a symbol on her shoulder and the art in the description has a nun without the symbol or the white markings. I can believe the pixel art was done by the dev but even the most amateur artist would keep their basic character design consistent.
>>
>>729569695
Part of the game is about rescuing the other nuns who are still trapped in the castle. Because they all wear the same habit uniform there are minor cosmetic differences between them all so you can tell them apart.

I figured the nun with glasses was likely a vaguely different character, but the nun in the title art, background art and description art all seem to be the same character with different designs. And her habit uniform has clear actual differences in each depiction.
>>
>>729569976
Now you're the one who's just making shit up. I glanced at the steam page. It looks like the same girl in the various promo images. Such a shame. Your crusade against AI was reasonably honourable when you weren't just fabricating evidence. But now you have fallen to the Devil's Temptation. Oh well.

You ever think you might have more fun playing games than microanalyzing steam pages of games that got 6 reviews?

Basically a Tetris-esque grid puzzler with some slight deckbuilding elements and a city building theme. The idea is that you have an isometric grid on which you can place buildings of different sizes which give points and once a row is fully filled up the points get added to your overall score. You can pull off large combos by clearing several rows simultaneously which is very satisfying. The game's not discounted sadly but it's cheap enough that I'd say it's worth a look.

pathetic little fucking dimwit, you're shit and your whole life is shit. You're too cowardly to go after major corporations for using AI so you just go after weak targets. You're picking on the little guy. If you had any courage of your convictions you'd go bomb Ubisoft HQ or something.

AI allows for smaller developers to match the resources of larger ones and is one of those equalizing factors that benefits the little guy tremendously. If AI was even used in this case you never did come up with any actual proof.

Pirate-themed ARPG with gameplay more akin to a top-down shooter. Surprisingly well-polished and large in scope for what seems to be a solo dev project. Gameplay is enjoyable and there are some interesting attempts at injecting variety, like ship combat sections and even a pseudo-tower defense section later in the game. Honestly ridiculously underpriced for what it offers, it could go for 4-5 times it's current price and I'd still say it'd be worth it.

If you rigidly enforce rules of decorum and design, such as, artists not being permitted to make decisions like putting two crosses on a character for a little charm and originality, are you not engaging in the same sort of standardization you claim to oppose?

If all games have to look a certain way that you're expecting, or else you will tarnish them as AI material, isn't that the same as all games looking a certain way because they were mass produced by a computer?

I think you need to do some more introspection on exactly what it is you believe in.

It's a solid mystery dungeon game and you can recruit every monster. With each one having their own recruitment task you need to complete which makes good use of all the different game mechanics.

Micro-machines style racing beat-em-up where you spend health as fuel to go faster and restore health from destroying other cars. Has a bunch of different cars with unique gameplay style, like Mr. Kill who attaches remote mines to cars he rams and Sword Van which has a big sword you can swing to smash through large groups of cars.

the first game is great too but its over 500 reviews so im posting this one. papers-please-likes where youre a club bouncer checking IDs. writing is genuinely funny and takes the piss out of bongland (first game) and burgerland (second game). second game in particular really felt like it was doomed to be TDSslop but its much more well-rounded than just "trump bad" for the full runtime. if youre a chud who thinks the west fell when samus took of her helmet you probably will not like either game but otherwise id recommend

Tbf it's a reverse strategy game, you play as a few agents of an evil god slowly corrupting and destroying the world, it's an AI who is playing a strategy game trying to stop you, and you just throw yet another plague in his capital and make 2 factions go to war with each other.

Peak Steam-core. This looks like one of those games you accidentally unlock your latent shmup autism with after buying it on a whim during a sale. That aspect ratio and the pixel art UI scream “released in 2011 but only five guys know about it.” Instant wishlist.

I think a lot of people go into it expecting "Mario Kart but with dem sonics", but the game is actually way more strict and hard than it seems, specially with it's tight level design.
It's an acquired taste but when you git gud it ends up being one of the most fun karting games out there.

It's tough to summarize, but basically it started as a 2.0 update to SRB2K, then they kept adding in so many new/strange mechanics they decided it was better to keep the two games separate. If SRB2K is closer to Mario Kart with mod support, DRRR is more like F-Zero for freaks with the way Rings function as both boost fuel and health.
As >>729595595 said, the fact that it looks like a kart game kind of did it a disservice. It doesn't really play like a normal Kart game at all.

A day or two ago someone posted a game that looked similar to Diablo but was titled something like the Enlightenment of Sven or something. It was some dude's path towards religion. Anyone know what it is?
>>
>>729603849
Yeah I agree.
But I'd say the game was fine, everything worked, there were some collectables, and the platforming for the most part was enjoyable to perform. I commend the dev for making the characters likeable with a very limited amount of movements.
But again, I would not rate that as a phenomenal 2 hours. I would call that an extremely solid first couple chapters that could be expanded upon significantly.
