If what you're saying is you want something that you can physically hold that proves you 'own' it then you're just asking for a physical copy of the license in which has some form of the game loadable from it offline. But as far as performance goes the discs are counterintuitive. GOG is quite literally the best solution of game releases to exist. Although rarely will triple A put their games on GOG.
