>>729592891Kingmaker is their best game, with Rogue trader being a close second (but its wh40k might not be your thing) meme of the righteous was a massive downgrade.BG and bg2 are the tits, bg2 is the best game ever made
Does Nioh offer anything that Nioh 2 doesnt? I've blown a ton of time in 2 already
>>729591938idk probably
>>729593463I think there was a very good reason for why you should turn them into humans again. They gave you some bonus or something that was too good to not take it. However I heard when you max a character's trust level they gift you the object they were turned into as a decorative item, so you could RP with that if you wanted to. But take it with a grain of salt, I never saw that as I only managed to play 20 hours before I got bored

Random shilling for Tails of IronIts 2€ and it was pretty fun when i played it some years ago. Really enjoyed the sequel too.https://store.steampowered.com/app/1283410/Tails_of_Iron/
>>729594826I didn't play the first one but the second one was pretty fun, though the Lost & Found quests could be annoying.
>>729594330Its a bit simpler mechanically as it doesnt have the Yokai shit. However you play as a blonde, blue eyed irishman that travels to Nippon, gets a ninja GF, becomes the main catalyst in the politic scene, and slaughter thousands of japanese mongrels to recover your magical waifu.
>>729592891I felt sprawl was extremely mediocre and not worth playing.
>>729591938Fantasy Life is great if you like grinding skills.
>>729595021I used the Wirriam skin for Nioh 2 so I did that there too.

It's extremely mediocre and uninspired.

>>729596991dw, could be worse
>>729594330No; the game is pretty much Nioh 2's glorified open alpha. People are only buying it because it's super cheap
>>729596991Pls, show the list
>Balatro is "only" 15% offam I a cheap bastard?
>>729597276- Lords of the Fallen (2023) - mediocre soulslike that tries to copy FromSoft past the point of parody, great style to it, relatively fun - Nioh 2 - Not really a soulslike but kind of close in some ways. Combat is kind of combo focused and has more depth to it than any of the FromSoft titles- Another Crab's Treasure - short game, pretty fun with a few gimmicks focused on hermit crab swapping shells. devs added an NG+ that seems to revamp bosses but I haven't gotten very far in it.- The Surge - kind of mid, interesting dodge system, excellent setting- Wuchang - Not on sale, probably my goty though despite the main character being a red flag for a coomer game. Similar to LotF it apes the best features from other soulslikes but does so much better than LotF. It's got a fun china setting that leans into the rampant cannibalism and atrocities they were all committing.
>>729598071You forgot to add how Wuchang got heavily censored and patched to the point where it doesn't resemble its original release due to the Chinese getting offended by said cannibalism and atrocities so OP should just pirate the unpatched version.
>>729598493They didn't patch out the cannabalism, I thought, just the part where you're killing Ming remnants and the Ming soldiers at the end. Am I remembering wrong?
>>729597276Don't listen to that anon.Only From Software gets the genre "right"; all the clones range from mediocre to outright shit.
>>729597276NTA but Nioh (90% off, 2 is arguably better but it's close) Lies of P (BB atmosphere, Sekiro combat), AI Limit (DS1 exploration)
so far i bought the dragon quest 3 remake, ufo 50 and fields of mistria. might refund the last one after i get around to trying it for a bit if it doesn't hook me.
>>729598686>>729598071>Hiding from anon that the Nioh games are RNG looters a la Diablo / Destiny / Borderlands and that most of his time will be spent grinding for that helmet or piece of armor with the right % modifier because without it the build will fall apart

>>729598830Hacknet and Little Kitty are both great, Hacknet DLC is worth it too if you like the main game, goes on sale all the time
>>729596991I wish I was a NEET. Not being forced to work while the government takes care of you must be paradise on earth.
>>729598989>BaronyI didn't think I would like it but I love it and I've only played the tutorial missions. Next one is #10 tutorial.
>>729598935Nta but wheres the contradiction here?>builds dont matter until NG++>the "real" game is about builds>ergo the "real" game doesnt start until you can make different builds
>>729598935I've never played Nioh but I don't see a contradiction there. They're saying anything goes until NG++ where you're forced to optimise, which is where the "real game" is.
>>729599121I live in a balkan third world poor country and i melted my brain with drugs that's why i take neetbux. Mostly meth, mdma and ketamine
>>729599272>>729599334You claim that the guy can have fun on NG and NG+ while claiming that the real game starts at NG++ and the previous cycles are just worthless busywork (which is another black eye against Nioh: "it gets good 150 hours in"). I've noticed how Nioh fans are extremely dishonest and always say lies or half-truths to trick people into buying that game.
>>729591938Conscript is pretty cool but kind of derivative. It wears its inspirations on the sleeve, gameplay-wise. Didn't play the director's cut though.
>>729599336You have neetbux in a third world country?Which country is it?
>>729599336I am a third worlder who has sometimes has 60 worktime hours per week + being on call 24/7 and still I only earn twice what you earn. You have no idea how jealous I am.
>>729598984At least you have good tastes
>>729599519Not exactly third world but it's poor and SE europe, that's all i can say
>>729599556>and still I only earn twice what you earn.Yeah, but isn't it a good income relative to living costs? The money he has is a joke even in the Balkans, it will pay for food but not much more. Probably got some cash from his family for Christmas to cover living expenses or something to afford this.
>>729599438>have fun until 150>game is different>have fun until 350What's the issue where
>>729597724wtf is that, DLC?
>>729599783The issue is that Nioh fans claim that NG and NG+ are wasted but necessary time before you get to play the game "for real" while implying that the player will have "fun" engaging on a shitty(ier?) version of the game. Honestly, why would you bother with a game that doesn't let you play it until you've wasted 200 hours in? There are plenty of games that are enjoyable from the very minute you start.
>>729598935Builds barely matter until NG+4, I didn't feel the need to minmax until I was deep into the Abyss (100+ hours in), just pick the highest statted armor and weapon until then and you'll beat all bosses, just like any other souls game. Also it's 5 bucks right now, buy it and refund it if you aren't having fun after 90 minutes, it's more of the same until the end of the game
>>729599168Just finished installing, wish me luck
>>729599993>Builds barely matter until NG+++But you told me build only matter until NG++See what I mean? Lies and half-truths.
>>729599438But thats not what you said is it?I have Nioh and like 5 minutes of gametime on it because I hated the controls, your argument is still shit tough.Just call them stockholm syndrome faggots who also think Starfield is good because it "gets good 500 hours in", dont try to engage in a philosophical debate if you cant follow>real game is about builds>you can fuck around and do whatever until NG++>NG++ is where the real game starts because you can no longer just fuck aroundIts really not that hard to follow, its just gay that it takes that long for the game to "get good"
Girl here, what's a good game for me to play?
>>729600170Quake 4
>>729600170Any multiplayer game that is currently trending (Arc Riders) or still alive (Deep Rock Galactic, Vermintide 2).Women don't like videogames; they do enjoy multiplayer games due to the social component but otherwise they don't like them at all.
>>729600117It's not that hard to understand. NG is fun. If you like it, keep going until NG++++ because it's still fun and an added challenge to compensate for your increased skill at the game. If you hate NG just refund, you won't enjoy NG+ either.
>>729600170My Time at Sandrock. You can romance the mysterious prettyboy with mommy issues (you can fix him) and divorce him when the criminal Himbo is finally romanceable.
>>729600220The Wandering Village
>>729600341I have nothing against Nioh other than not playing it because the controls were ass, I spent less on it than an average dinner so who cares about the refund.Might give it a shot now actually because the other anon did such a terrible job of shitting on it
>>729600170Probably Baldur's Gate 3, a lot of women bought that for some reason
>>729600170Stray. Also you know the rules (and so do I)
>>729597982I don't blame you, there are some games that were released more recently that have a better deal. Once Upon Katamari ,which has been released two months ago, is 25% off for comparison.
That'll be two bucks, baby! You want fries with that?https://store.steampowered.com/app/322290/Gurumin_A_Monstrous_Adventure/Typo patch:https://github.com/Tenome/Gurumin-Modding
>>729597982Nah, if you've never played Balatro you don't actually know if that's a great deal for you. Some of the original Balatro fans a people who played the free demo for 40 hours.I'd say pirate it or track down the demo. If it gets it's hooks into you, you probably won't mind throwing the dev a couple bucks for cloud saves.
This sale made me come to the disturbing realization that I already own all the mecha games that don't suck
>>729600117You're missing the point. As answer to any criticism towards those games, Nioh fans claim that the real game "starts at NG++" and that NG and NG+ are boring affairs where you play a mediocre version of the game and you can't judge the game based on that initial experience with it. When I pointed out that the "real game" requires engaging with RNG loot and all it involves, they changed their argument and claimed that the "boring affair" is actually good. Basically they change their argument when it's convenient to them. Now, if you want to waste time with a shit game just because you want to be a contrarian against me, feel free to do it. I'm not the one wasting his time.
>>729600478I think I struggled with the controls as well when I first started, and if you're coming from Souls games then you have to re-accustom yourself to blocking being useful. You might hate it in the end but I'm glad I stuck with it. If you're a Souls fan you might have noticed how few decent non-From games exist in the genre but I think Nioh is one of the better ones. >inb4 all the nioh fans start reeing about how nioh isn't actually a soulslike at all
>>729601064Now, feel free to play these games.
i don't plan on getting much this sale
>>729591938YesI'm also implicated in the Epstein files over several hundred times. Don't know if that matters.
>>729599590thanks anon, i expected people to shit on me for my taste desu
>>729591938Conscript and Northern Journey are great. Not familiar with the other two.
>>729601671redpill me on northern journey
>>729601526Not him but taste looks fine to me too.As a fellow neet the real issue is you don't actually have the time to play all that. You might think as a neet you have infinite time but even if you're perfect at motivating yourself to play games, you only need to fill the time until the next sale. The next sale will inevitably have games you didn't manage to play for cheaper, which is a net loss.It does feel nice to build a backlog but try to consider each purchase the next sale and if you can dive back into your vault or potentially supplement with emulation.
I'm buying porn
>>729601197Thats a half decent argument but I have no horse in this race. Now if you dont want to be called a retard next time then start like this, dont make a strawman that makes you look retarded (the point of a strawman is to make the other side look retarded) and then backtrack to your actual point. You fucking schizo tard
>>729602282I don't know why you would do that
Should last me for a while. Thoughts?>>729602282>CoC2but why when it's already free?
>>729602282>CoC 2at least buy good porn
>>729602229I'm determined this time, i realized i might not even manage to play all the stuff i have until i die but who knows. I might get to play a lot of them. As you saw in the pic i posted many of the games are really short, or just short and i made the decision to buy them because all in all i have like 50-60 endless games. 100+ sit in my backlog already being worked up and like 50+ are endless and i play whenever i need to tickle the sandbox 'tism.
should i buy sekiro? even after all these years does it hold up?
Help me pick?>Metro Exodus Gold vs Atomic HeartHave to pick one of these>Witcher 3 Complete vs Witcher 2 EnhancedShould I play 2 first or nah>System Shock 2 RemasterAlready have the classic SS2 but this might be better for Win11 worth?>Silent Hill 2 Remake vs Silent Hill F vs Fatal Frame Black WaterOne of these>ARC RaidersTo see what the hype is about and because I have no multiplayer games to play>Deltarune vs Expedition 33 vs Baldurs Gate 3 vs Final Fantasy 16Want an RPG to play>Bloodlines 2 Mixed reviews but I waited years for this>Breath of Fire 4 vs Dino Crisis Bundle vs RE Classic BundleOn GOG
>>729603326Still the best in the genre, there's a reason why every game since has had a parry mechanic. I bought it years after the hype and it was still great.
>>729603016I was more thinking of the long games rather than the short experiences. Howlongtobeat is a great resource btw.I've had the "collect a ton cause I might get to them before I die phase" and while I don't regret buying 50 games during a sale I do have to admit in retrospect I only got to 10 of them before something new and shiny showed up.This sale I've done more of a "buy two games and finish at least one before I buy another" which has better motivated me to actually play. I've also dipped back into games I picked up on a previous sale that I never gave a fair shake.Just keep track of what you actually do after this sale is over and be honest with yourself how it played out during the next one.
>>729603326I played it for the first time last year despite being so-so on DeS, DS1, and Bloodborne; had a pretty good time. Really the main knock against it is that the parry in basically every other game is going to feel like shit afterwards.
>>729603483>Witcher 3 Complete vs Witcher 2 EnhancedOpen world vs 3 big "levels" that you progress through in a linear order?Thats basically the question, do you want more content where anything you do can only have any impact at the very end of the game or do you want a story where your act 1 decisions play a big role in act 2 and 3
Guys , how do i stop being a paypig?
>>729603483Get metro exodus if you played 2033. Get atomic heart otherwise. Get witcher 2 first as you can import your choices from it into 3 plus 3 is getting some dlc soon apparently so it's best to wait on that for a bit. System shock 2 can be modded to work on win11. I would honestly recommend emulating sh2 first, but get the remake if you really want to buy something. Arc raiders is fotm so only get it if you are okay with that. Baldur's gate 3. Fuck bloodlines 2. The resident evil bundle. They just work now.
>>729603483Metro Exodus (Atomic Heart is okay but flawed)Witcher 3 but skip all the busywork Ubisoft slop (Witcher 2 is not very interesting and way too linear compared to even Witcher 1)If you already played SS2 you can drop the remasterSilent Hill 2 RemakeDrop Arc Raiders unless you have friends to play withBaldur's Gate 3Drop Bloodlines 2 and pick it up next year on a steeper saleLast one dunno
>>729598984You're set for the next 4 years easily, but who am I kidding? You're not playing all that shit.
>>729603819Start sailing the high seas
>>729603695Solid advice. Tbh i got all these games because every week i have an itch to immerse myself in another game, probably because of my mild ADHD.>>729603921I play for 10 hours a day
rate and hate, maybe some recs pls. really scraping the bottom of the barrel here because shit I want to buy is still way too expensive and stuff that is dirt cheap on my wishlist is garbage mostly. I wanted to try out the astlibra demo because I was contemplating buying that game but it seems to have been taken down from steam?
>>729602225Extremely novel game made by a solo dev. Premise is you are some wizard's lackey and you have to do his bidding in a spooky nordic fantasy land. Its gameplay is diet metroidvania fps where you get a ton of puzzles/problems that require you to do stuff in various areas to progress. Game has some amazing visuals and music which keeps things interesting.

I bought Ninja Gaiden 4 (haven't played it yet, busy with Tormented Souls 2) and Lollipop Chainsaw Repop (didn't like it very much). Nothing else grabs my attention, maybe Space Marine 2.
I'm thinking about picking up either Tainted Grail or Hundred Line, thoughts on them?
>>729611771I enjoyed both Heroes of Hammerwatch games. Not sure if the first one is better or just I played it first so the formula was less stale, but I think its item balance was a little more fun (though I think they've since overhauled it several times). Far better in multiplayer though, the burst damage is absurd so revives are all but essential.
>>729592290>I NEED MORE GAME RECSBut dogshit is all you play, how long do you really think you can stretch this out when all people play is rpgs and le schizo core interactive narratives
>>729612623Hundred Line is really good if you have a Danganronpa itch that hasn't been scratched in a long time. Does take a while to warm up though, I found the first 20 loop a little dull. Gets pretty wacky after that though. I have 105 hours and 45 endings, plan to get back to it at some point. It's also worth noting that it is most definitely primarily a VN. There's a fair amount of combat in the early game but it gradually decreases as you break the game systems and the fact you can skip battles you've already completed on another route.
>>729612972*the first 20 hour loop
>>729612623I had a ton of fun with Hundred Line for the first 100 hours or so, then it kinda became a chore when I systematically started going through all the remaining choices more for completions sake than actual interest.

>>729606021DAEMON X MACHINA is trash
>>729623292Game good
>>729623292Mechanically it's a functional turn-based RPG with complex parries and a variety of builds available for individual party members and for the party as a whole. The story is award-bait; lots of themes of death, family, the meaning of art, "high-brow" shit. Some characters are decent but a lot of them are some combination of shallow, handled gracelessly, or squandered potential. The level of polish on display was clearly expensive, but there's nothing evocative or unique about its creative aspects. Very generic, very safe. All the components are somewhere around 8/10 but it's taking no risks and has no actual substance. If you're content with that it'll certainly entertain for 50-100 hours. I don't regret my time with it. But I found it to be utterly replacement-level.
>>729623292>it looks like turn based soulslop and it looks exactly the same 1 hour in or 10 hours in lolCorrect. But it also has a melodramatic story written by pretentious French midwits.
