Not really. It's got a unique charm but it gets old very quickly. It's probably my least favourite Vanilaware game. 13 Sentinels, Unicorn Overlord and Odin Sphere are way better.

It is a repetitive grind of a game hard carried by its aesthetic. In other words, a Vanillaware game. That said, you can co-op through it with a big titty witch, a muscle mommy or an elf with thighs for kicking so whatever.

Can anyone tell me if UNICORN OVERLORD on Nintendo Switch 1 is a good game?
I love these guys' games, the art is beautiful.

Moment to moment combat feels great, aesthetics are excellent but the pacing of the campaign and levels themselves can be very sluggish, especially given that you have to move a cursor around the screen to select certain stage elements at times. Good in short bursts or co-op.

It's a fantastic game. Quite different and quite unique.
As any Vanillaware game, it's beautiful but can get repetitive. Yet, it's a really weird and unique type of SRPG game. Great soundtrack, great characters, lots of ways to tinker and customize squads and characters. Lots of game, easily 60 hours at least per playthrough.

I had a good time with it and I'd even consider it memorable, but I also feel it had little to no replayability. Pretty much the only thing you'd play it again for is to try a new unit comp, which you've got enough time and content on the first go to try just about anything anyway, or ring a different character and I will never ring anyone but Scarlett so that's already a foregone conclusion.

They haven't accepted that PC is just another platform to sell on, so instead they created more pirates than they have avoided by avoiding PC. They even rejected Atlus' offers to port some of their games like Unicorn Overlord for virtually free.

If you've played Capcom's D&D beat'em'ups from the 90s, you've played Dragon's Crown. The whole game is pretty much a love letter to it.
That being said, it's at its best where you're playing co-op with friends. Otherwise, the second half of the game will be pretty grindy. You have to go back through all the previous stages (at random at first, too) to take hidden paths.
