>>729617950You should get into mobile gaming.
>>729617445It basically tries to make you feel like there's no shame in quitting, that it's simply nicotine addiction and that you seek to smoke simply because you feel insecure. That you should think of quitting as escaping to freedom, not as of giving up.I actually think there's nothing wrong with smoking as long as you're a responsible adult about it. It's a huge money sink and you should improve your time management for sure and find better hobbies, but poisons are also important in life. Pick your poison.>>729617821I wouldn't say it's Cock and Ball Torture but there's traces of it in it for sure.

>>729616563As someone who has stop vaping it's actually very easy to stop doing anything. Here's the secret Just stop that's right that's all you need to do. You don't need a book, a 12 week course or some go to a rehab. That thing you keep doing but you don't want to do anymore? Just stop doing it. The reason you don't stop is because you don't want to stop. Only when you want to stop can you do it. Another example? My Mother who has been smoking cigs since she was 16 stop smoking 3 years ago due to a Cancer diagnosis and since then she never picked a cig. She is now in Remission healthy as ever. The key for her was wanting to beat Cancer which made her want to stop smoking.

>>729620840It's just a mini-game collection, like cooking mama, but about smoking.
>>729618682With pure nicotine, there is a head rush and a tingling in your body. A burst of energy and thoughts seem to flow into each other easier. There are other substances in tobacco which synergize with it, mainly MAOIs, which cause the feeling to last longer. As far as the addiction feels, over time this evens out and it just becomes a habit with little benefit. Your body's need to maintain a sense of equilibrium and normality turns everything that brings you outside the norm, even objectively positive nootropic effects, into a residual dopamine hit at best. You start playing the game for this dopamine hit which is factored in to every other dopamine stimulus resulting in a net 0 gain that you need to pay money to attain. All short term good things are like this. Well, maybe not fapping. It's like this but essentially free outside the time you spend doing it.

Smokers have a bad rap because they've been stereotyped as people who dont care about anyone but themselves. It's true, they deserve the rap. Most of them couldn't give less of a shit about secondhand smoke if they live in an apartment building. Nooooooo you couldnt step outside and smoke instead of doing it in your unit. Noooooo you couldnt have picked a different building Nooooo you couldn't try to quit and care about your fellow man.Fuck those assholes. I hope the anons in this thread would have the goddamn sense to realize people dont like being bombarded with smoke and show the slightest bit of humility and change their behavior so they didnt smoke out their neighbor who's fucking gagging at the smell.

>>729618919this is actually the gist of how allen carr's "easy way" method functions--help the smoker realize that smoking doesn't actually make them feel good, let them have one last smoke with the hypnotic suggestion that it's actually going to make them feel bad, and then just go cold turkey. this book unironically made me quit smoking in days and simply never want to do it ever again. his method also helped he give up booze.i know it looks silly but this dude's books have seriously helped me and a lot of other people kick addictions

When I quit smoking I did it cold turkey.I had tried several times to quit: vapes, gum, patches, tapering... didn't work; I always eventually just went back to cigarettes. Know why? Because I was trading one method of ingestion of a substance for another; I was still ingesting the substance, I was still addicting myself to it. For an addict, the method of ingestion of their drug of choice is irrelevant. Heroin users will inject into their eyeballs, their fingers, their toes, anywhere; they will burn it on foil; they will smoke it in pipes; they will snort it up their nose -- and not once during any of this will the differentiations in drug uptake make them quit, ever. For me with my cold turkey attempt, I suppose I was lucky, because I had my heart and mind in alignment when I made the eventual cold turkey decision, which means that I did not have the friction of being torn between what I thought I should do, and I wanted to do. I WANTED to quit. I wasn't quitting because I "thought I should" or whatever. I realized that another 1000 cigarettes, another 2000, 10000 even, would not suddenly render unto me a missed insight of tobacco. I had explored the plant and its effects fully. I know what it did: it gave a light social buzz and ignited my reward system. That's literally it. It was not worth the amount of money spent nor the deliterious health affects. The supposed and near-mythical single "pro" of smoking was the social aspect; of meeting new and random punters at clubs and pubs; and making fast acquaintances at work when you go for smoke breaks; but even these are not worth the effects. There is literally nothing more tobacco could have done for me that it already had. I could not get high off it, I could not sell it on the street (not that I'd), it was not an impressive party drug, and nor was it a flex to anyone that I smoked: I just smoked it to smoke it. It made sense to quit. Been smoke-free 3.5 years now and I do not miss or think of it at all

>>729624202>wearing DVSswhat year is it
>>729622712For many people, it's the first 3 days. It gets significantly easier after that, and if you can get to the two week mark, you are statisically likely to quit, as this is the average time period that must elapse for new habits to form (for some people it's 3 weeks, for some it's longer still). Eventually your habit of smoking will be replaced by the habit of non-smoking. The only thing stopping you from replacing the habit is your addiction, which is the sole vector you must tame and reckon with. You will never quit smoking unless you address your addiction and you can never address your addiction and make it leave, if you are taking replacement therapies (vapes, patches, gum). Replacement therapies are managing and window-dressing your addiction, not curing it. Buying a new pack of cigarettes is also "managing your addiction" if you think about it.Why would you ever want to manage an addiction that you want to quit? You are just delaying the inevitable when you manage your addiction and it will not make it any easier for you to quit when it's time. You will just continually tell yourself to taper and taper or change the method over-and-over until one day you will think "fuck it" and just give up the quit attempt entirely and go back to what you were. So just quit cold turkey! Don't be a dumb hunk! For your health!

Well that's how they get you.Imagine spending one hour+ to watch the results of a slot machine. That's the MOBA genre. They aren't even games dude. There's no skill. >>729628714Shim shimmy-lam shadoo skiddo ma'goo. My garden wall is 5ft high. The ant colony in my backyard plays Grateful Dead concerts at night when they think I'm asleep; I can hear them taking LSD and listening to Box of Rain at 2:00 AM from my bedroom window. It sounds tinny, far-off, kind of like a concert from an ant colony in my backyard style-of-thing. One time I saw an ant come into my house, crawl up onto my worktop, and start looking through a box of Cheez-It(s). It ate a tiny bite out of one, sighed, sat down like a tired fat guy and I just heard it say out of earshot (watching from the hallway doorway due to fear): "I really need to quit smoking fucking weed, dude." Another time I was coming back from soccer practice in the ant colony and I heard one say, "there he is, there's the guy with the 5ft-high garden wall!" I had to run, because they didn't like that I had a 5ft-high garden wall for some reason. I didn't stop to ask, they were ants and I was in their turf playing soccer, where I probably shouldn't have been. I don't know how I got into my ant colony and I don't know why my garden wall is 10km high. Sometimes when I go to sleep at night, I can hear the person that lives in the house to which the backyard belongs to, play live Phish records at 1:00 AM. It sounds kinda loud and boomy, sort of like a person playing records super loud in their house at 1:00 AM and hearing it from outside. The shears in my shed are scissors; they are made for a bigger person than I am and I am scared sometimes that one day I will enter my shed and my shears will have gone missing and that I will find them sitting uncomfortably and pregnant with nebulous malice on my kitchen counter as a warning from some invisible as-yet hitherto unknown would-be stalker, or perhaps murderer, or master-of-japes with a penchant for long-form experimental comedy with a slight horror aesthetic. I can hear the man in his room singing "Possum" and he is hitting the floor with his feet.
