They couldn't win against advent by direct ground war due to sheer number and tech diff. If Human tries to "clean up" the left over aliens by force, they would just lose even more. However, the direction they went with for chimera was shit though. The writing for the aliens' personality and interactions are garbage. The relationship should be similiar to something like elite and human in Halo, not some hipster zoomers in a tech office / coffee shop in Settle.

The "base building and management" were too streamlined and funneled toward like handful of options that realistically can clear a run. The writing and characters were such massive misses though. At least they are self aware of how popular a female viper would be and give us Torque, who is both extremely strong character gameplay-wise and a somewhat serviceable personality and story.

I only want an XCOM 3 if they bring back vipers and have them date human men. None of that wokescold "diversity is our strength" messaging. Just the white man's ideal world.
